Soccer Aid stars Nicky Byrne and Louis Tomlinson line up for parts in Jamie Vardy movie
Filmmaker behind Vardy biopic reveals celebs including comedian Jack Whitehall lacing up for starring roles
THE Soccer Aid match wasn’t just an audition for MARK WRIGHT’s late stab at a football career.
Last weekend’s event was also a chance for other celebs to prove they too can change paths – with comedian JACK WHITEHALL and former WESTLIFE singer NICKY BYRNE the main focus.
They are the front-runners for roles in the new JAMIE VARDY movie, according to filmmaker ADRIAN BUTCHART.
He wants Jack to play Jamie’s agent, John Morris, and Nicky to be goalie KASPER SCHMEICHEL in the film about the Leicester City striker’s incredible rise from non-league football.
In an exclusive interview Adrian said: “It’s very important to the authenticity of the football sequences to have actors who can also play well.
“After the [Soccer Aid] game, several of the celebs expressed an interest in being in the film.”

Adrian even revealed Kasper’s dad, ex-Man Utd keeper PETER, gave Nicky the seal of approval after seeing him in action.
He added: “Peter Schmeichel was at the event and at first expressed some doubts at the idea of Nicky playing his son.
"But after he had seen video footage on a phone of Nicky going through his goalkeeping routines I think the big man was won over.”
ONE DIRECTION’s LOUIS TOMLINSON is all but confirmed to play Jamie, who might well find himself lifting the Euro 2016 trophy with England this summer.
Right now, there’s more chance of 1D reforming.
Kate Moss in the frame as fashion show host
THE closest KATE MOSS has come to a career in telly was sitting on the sofa with NOEL GALLAGHER and NAOMI CAMPBELL in a special edition of Gogglebox.
But she’s being lined up for her first hosting job on a new show to find the next top fashion photographer alongside MARIO TESTINO.
The show, called Exposure, is being pitched to channels and will see ten hopefuls enter via Instagram before battling it out in an Apprentice-style competition.
Contestants will then be eliminated until the final two compete for the prize of shooting a campaign for a major brand, featuring Kate.
She will set the day’s tasks every morning from a swanky apartment in East London, where the contestants will live during the course of the show.
A source said: “Kate has always wanted to do TV but never had the right offer.
“This would be great for her and working with Mario would mean it’d feel familiar.
“The series would run for ten episodes and would be the Apprentice for the fashion world.”
At least Kate is easier on the eyes than LORD SUGAR.
Army doc Keegan's a bomb-chelle
MICHELLE KEEGAN’s new BBC drama Our Girl sparked a bomb scare in Liverpool.
The series, in which the ex Coronation Street actress plays an army medic, was filmed in the city instead of London’s Whitehall.
But locals panicked after seeing fake bomb disposal units and police cars at the Merseytravel bus depot in Bootle, close to The Strand shopping centre.
Cops confirmed it was related to filming then sent leaflets to locals warning them of the incident.
A heads-up wouldn’t have hurt.
