LAURENCE FOX hasn’t just lost a wife – he has also said goodbye to his mojo.
The actor turned singer has revealed he has given up sex since his divorce from BILLIE PIPER this year.
In an exclusive interview at the festival, where he performed on the Hard Rock stage, Laurence admitted he has had no rebounds since their split, saying: “I’m completely abstinent in that way. I’m firmly Dad at the moment and occasionally festivals.”
Life has not been easy for Laurence since breaking up with former teen pop star and Doctor Who actress Billie in March after almost nine years. While he has equal custody of their sons Eugene and Winston, he has had to rope in his mum for support while he struggles to adapt to being a single father.
Laurence added: “I see at least 50 per cent of my sons at the moment.
“I juggle being a dad and my career with great difficulty, but I have to work and earn money and pay for my life.
“It’s fine, it’s sort of OK – everyone has to do it.
“It’s not an easy ride through parenthood. I need help at the moment. I’ve got my mum, who’s helped out.”
Perhaps she can babysit while he goes on a hot date.
Younger Townshend slams Quadrophenia remake
SIMON TOWNSHEND is the latest name connected with rock legends THE WHO to slam a proposed sequel to Seventies film Quadrophenia.
The band’s frontman, ROGER DALTREY, has already slammed plans for a second edition of the cult 1979 movie, which was inspired by their classic 1973 album.
Simon, who is the younger brother of The Who’s main songwriter and guitarist PETE, is touring with the rockers, who were headlining at the Isle of Wight Festival on Saturday night.
Simon, pictured near left with Pete, said: “I don’t think there should be a sequel – it is a whole different story.
“I must admit when I read the script it’s been written so poorly.
“It was a first draft. It might be great but I don’t somehow see it.”
Sounds likes it’s doomed to me.
Makers’ frontman calls out Olly Murs for Prince tweet
REVEREND AND THE MAKERS frontman JON McCLURE has had a swipe at OLLY MURS for tweeting a tribute to PRINCE.
Ranting backstage at the Isle of Wight festival, he said: “Olly tweeted saying he loves Prince and all this and I’m thinking realistically Twitter is about as sincere as f***ing buying flowers from a garage last minute.
“Nothing Olly Murs does has anything to do with Prince — anything at all. He is full of insincerity and bulls**t. I have no time for him. He’s like a s**t ROBBIE WILLIAMS.”
At least Olly sells records.
