Dancing On Ice bosses boasting line-up is better than Strictly after breaking the bank to secure ‘best ever celebs’
DANCING On Ice has secured its “best ever line up” of stars - thrashing their rivals Strictly Come Dancing.
We can reveal ITV chiefs think their roster is far better than their BBC rival's after DOI signed up Jason Donovan, Colin Jackson and Denise Van Outen.
The show offered big bucks to get Denise on board, signing her up on a cool £40,000 contract.
What's more, The Sun Online revealed Myleene Klass snubbed Strictly to take part in the ice-skating competition and was paid a mounth-watering £50,000.
But there are more big signings to come.
Producers are hopeful of landing Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah - who is at the centre of a toxic legal row with Coleen Rooney.
Yesterday an ITV insider said: “Dancing on Ice bosses believe they have the best lineup ever for this year’s show.
“Producers have been openly saying they are much happier with their lineup than what’s been announced over on Strictly.
“ITV are also still pursuing a couple of other really big names which will make the show even better.
“With millions more people indoors watching TV, weekend entertainment on the telly has never been important.
“That’s why ITV have told Dancing on Ice producers to spend whatever it takes to get the best contestants.”
DOI's pursuit of former Strictly stars Jason, Colin and Denise is seen as a bid to attract fans of the BBC show to tune in.
Meanwhile the skating show landed a real coup with Myleene, who has been in showbiz for nearly two decades.
They said: “Dancing On Ice bosses are delighted to work with Myleene. She’s got the perfect blend of beauty and brains which fans are sure to love when the show returns. Myleene feels the time is right to take on a new challenge and she can’t wait to push herself on the ice.

“Her family are massive fans of the shows and her kids can’t wait to see her in action.”
Another source told The Sun it was “a big shock” that Myleene is doing Dancing On Ice as many thought she would be holding out for BBC rival Strictly.
But they added: “ITV pay a lot more than the BBC though and she is expected to have signed a huge deal worth over £50,000.
"People are surprised she’s doing it but the show is intense and she will be working hard for every penny.”
The Sun Online already revealed comedian Rufus has signed up for DOI, Emmerdale's Joe Warren-Plant, and Grime artist Lady Leshurr.
