Fern Britton vows to stay single as ex Phil Vickery flirts with sheep farmer after marriage break-up
FERN Britton says she's not interested in falling into another relationship after having "two incredible husbands".
The TV star has vowed to stay single after The Sun revealed her ex Phil Vickery has been flirting with a shepherdess online.
Fern, 63, insisted she'd rather be alone after her relationships with Phil, 59, and TV exec Clive Jones.
It comes after the mum-of-four - who was previously married to Clive for 12 years - split from Phil in January after 20 years of marriage.
And though she admitted she misses the company of a man, she has decided she doesn't want another partner in her life.
She told : “That’s not to say I don’t miss being married, because I have been married to two incredible husbands for over 30 years, so I have been married for a very long time – two very interesting men who survived being married to me.
“It is difficult and it is painful but let’s skip over that… I am not looking for anybody else.”
Ferne also admitted she enjoys having "autonomy" over her time and "what I want to do", adding that she plans to travel the world at 70.
Meanwhile, Phil has exchanged a string of messages with Yorkshire Dales sheep farmer Alison O’Neill.
He and divorced mother of one Alison, 56, met filming ITV’s This Morning.
They have shot segments on lambing at her 35-acre farm and she has also had regular cooking slots filmed in her kitchen and at the London studio.
A source said: “Phil and Alison became good mates. They have very natural chemistry. A few people have been gossiping.”
Phil retweeted Valentine-themed posts by Alison and the pair regularly comment on one another’s tweets.
