Teen Mom Jenelle Evans says she’s releasing ‘new’ beauty products as fans call her a ‘scam’ after ‘moldy’ eyebrow kit
TEEN Mom alum Jenelle Evans said she's releasing "new" beauty products.
The announcement was met with criticism from fans that called the star's business a "scam" after she sold a "moldy" eyebrow kit.
announced to her fans on Tuesday about the latest step she’s taking in her beauty career.
She tweeted: “A lot of you are suggesting I should join Monat but I rather make my own product.
“Been super busy lately and working on myself and my businesses. Can’t wait to show everyone new products! #ComingSoon”
Fans immediately slammed the reality star for continuing on with selling makeup, despite previous claims from customers of “contaminated” and “disgusting” products.
One fan tweeted: “Warning this person is a scammer.”
Another wrote: “At least the Monat products wouldn’t have hair and [mold] on them.”
A third commented: “Here we go again. Jenelle and her many businesses. it will fail just like the rest of them have if she’s even actually working on anything."
Another fan wrote: “Hard pass. I prefer my products without mold.”
The criticism continued as following person claimed: “Your own product had mold in it. Maybe you should rethink making any products.”
An additional social media user added “Nobody is going to buy your products and it will be a fail just like all your other business ventures...how bout just going away for good??”
Fans first started accusing the star of selling “contaminated” makeup back in July, but she slammed those claims and insisted the kits are “completely clean and the FDA can come stop by if they need to.”
MszTiiny89 and Makeup_Rachelll both shared an Instagram Live in which they did an unboxing of one of her brow kits.
In the video, they claimed the powder had mold inset and that the packaging was dirty and dusty.
Rachel Pellegriti (Makeup_Rachelll) had previously sent her brow kit to a lab and later shared alleged results which she claims prove there was "fungus" in the kit.
Jenelle wrote in a comment on the post of reported lab results: "I have made out 200+ orders, and you mean to tell me you two are the only ones with ‘mold’?
"I find that hard to believe. Seems like it was purposely contaminated [for] attention."
In May, The Sun exclusively revealed that Jenelle was selling eyebrow kits leftover from last year’s launch after revealing she’s "back in business."
Johnny Donovan, her rep at the time, said: “She bought so many units. She purchased 2,000 eyebrow kits. It's the same kits.
“They were left at a warehouse. She’s trying to get rid of them since she was stuck with a lot. I wish her luck!”
