Strictly’s Maisie Smith shimmies in glam tasselled dress for show promo shoot
MAISIE Smith looked ready to hit the Strictly dancefloor as she shimmied in a glam tasselled dress ahead of the show’s launch.
The EastEnders star, 19, oozed glamour in a glitzy blue outfit and a pair of cross-over heels during a promo shoot.
The Tiffany Butcher actress gave fans a glimpse of her moves as she posed for the camera and giving her hair a sassy flick.
Maisie shared the snaps with her 721k Instagram fans, writing: “Kinda feeling a bit real now.”
It looks like the actress already has a large following as supporters flocked to comment, with one writing: “You look gorgeous, I can’t wait.”
Another posted: “Buzzing to see you dance! I reckon you’re going to be amazing.”
A third penned: “You’ll be fabulous Maisie We’ll be cheering you all the way.”
The 18th series of the popular BBC1 show starts on October 17th with a new line-up of celebrities ready to compete for the Glitterball trophy
Maisie revealed she’s been hitting the gym hard ahead of her appearance and proved she’s in peak condition to hit the Strictly dancefloor later this month.
The actress recently took to her Instagram Story to scare off her competition and show them how seriously she’s taking it all with a gorgeous mirror selfie that displayed her toned figure.
She opted for a light grey sports bra and some matching grey leggings to show off her hard rock abs and ridiculously toned thighs.
She completed the look with some white and pink trainers, hot pink headphones and kept her fiery red hair loose.
The star clearly wants to get her hands on the the Glitterball trophy and is taking preparation for Strictly seriously with regular gym sessions.
Maisie is definitely the show’s dark horse this year with her dancing experience.
She has already won Strictly thanks to a cha-cha with Kevin Clifton on the Children In Need special last year and admitted she’s had training in hip hop and street.
However, the whole show could be hanging in the balance as The Sun revealed that it may never make it to air if Britain goes into full lockdown again.
A source explained: “The BBC are fully prepared to axe this series of Strictly if a full lockdown happens.
“They couldn’t even delay the show until early next year because of a number of issues, including them being unable to use their usual studios. While everyone is hopeful it won’t happen, preparations have been made if it does.
“Everyone working on the show has done their utmost to keep it on air and if a local lockdown happens in London, where the studios are, Strictly bosses will ask for special dispensation to see if they can continue.”
Maisie is part of a reduced Strictly Come Dancing line-up for 2020 which also includes former labour politician Jacqui Smith, MIC star Jamie Laing, YouTube star HRVY, comedian Bill Bailey and former Royal Marine JJ Chalmers.
