PRICEY'S PAIN

Katie Price begged Priory doctors ‘don’t let me kill myself’ after traumatised star ‘hit rock bottom’

KATIE Price has revealed that she checked into The Priory and begged doctors not to let her kill herself earlier this year after suffering "severe trauma".

The 42-year-old star has hit back at speculation that she was in the mental health facility for drink and drug addiction, instead opening up about her intrusive thoughts.

She has now called the move the "best thing she's done", with it coming amid a "build up of s**t and mental abuse".

Katie explained: "I went to The Priory and booked in and said: 'I don’t want to leave here, I want to be an inpatient, help me to sort out my head, this is my last chance to do it, I don't want to die, I don't want to kill myself, help me'.

"That's why I ended up in The Priory. It was nothing to do with drink or drugs."

The mother-of-five continued to: "It was severe trauma rehabilitation, and I still speak to the doctor weekly now because that's what I want to do because there are lots of things that have gone on in my past that led me up to that."

Discussing her suicidal thoughts, Katie confessed that she hit "rock bottom" and that she "wanted to be in a coffin."

She added: "But because I had the kids and I had that little bit of strength in me to think: 'Kate, look around you, look what you can have, look what you've achieved in your past, get that energy and re-spark it'."

Thankfully, the Priory stint was able to help the star get back on track, and she went on to find love with new beau Carl Woods - who she has called the love of her life.

YOU'RE NOT ALONE

EVERY 90 minutes in the UK a life is lost to suicide.

It doesn't discriminate, touching the lives of people in every corner of society - from the homeless and unemployed to builders and doctors, reality stars and footballers.

It's the biggest killer of people under the age of 35, more deadly than cancer and car crashes.

And men are three times more likely to take their own life than women.

Yet it's rarely spoken of, a taboo that threatens to continue its deadly rampage unless we all stop and take notice, now.

That is why The Sun launched the You're Not Alone campaign.

The aim is that by sharing practical advice, raising awareness and breaking down the barriers people face when talking about their mental health, we can all do our bit to help save lives.

Let's all vow to ask for help when we need it, and listen out for others... You're Not Alone.

If you, or anyone you know, needs help dealing with mental health problems, the following organisations provide support:

Katie Price's boyfriend Carl Woods slams trolls in epic rant as he defends star's relationship history

In fact, the pair are so smitten with each other they got tattoos of one another's faces on their forearms, and have vowed to have children together.

Katie's heartbreaking revelation comes just days after her ex Kris Boyson made a series of explosive claims against her on social media.

The personal trainer threatened that he could "easily destroy" Katie's career after being left outraged when she called him "fame-hungry" and claimed that he'd used her for money.

Katie hit back at the time, accusing Kris of using her for a "cheap headline".
