Don’t give up the day job! Kate Moss tunelessly belts out Stand By Your Man at charity bash
She joined legendary rock chick Chrissie Hynde on stage at the star-studded event
SHE’S got a bit of a penchant for getting up on stage and belting out a tune – but someone should tell Kate Moss she’s better off sticking to the catwalk.
Because while her enthusiasm for being a rock star is commendable, it’s a shame she hasn’t got the vocal ability to pull it off properly, as last night proved.
The supermodel, 42, was attending the Hoping's Greatest Hits party in London with toyboy Count Nikolai von Bismarck, when she decided to take to the stage.
She joined legendary rock chick Chrissie Hynde to sing Stand By Your Man, a song made famous by country singer Tammy Wynette.
And while Kate looked great, the same couldn’t sadly be said about her singing voice.
In a video shared by Vogue’s style editor-at-large Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis, Kate is seen picking up the song from Chrissie at the lines that go “but if you love him, be proud of him”.
She got a huge cheer from the guests at the event, but while she tried her hardest to reach the higher notes, they were just a little out of her range.
Her voice cracked and soundless out of tune but it didn’t matter one bit to her audience who gave her a round of applause.
Even Chrissie, 64, smiled at her pal and nodded along as she sang.
But despite her bum notes on stage, she looked good of it as she posed for photos as she arrived at the bash which was held at Ronnie Scott’s in London’s Soho.
She wore a stunning green satin dress that clung to her curves, which she teamed with black Christian Louboutin heels and a black tuxedo jacket.

She also went back to her humble beginnings as she arrived with her hair scraped back tightly off her face in a style that is known as the Croydon Facelift.
The event was held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Hoping Foundation's fundraising event for Palestinian refugee children.
Kate is no stranger to getting on the stage and having a sing-a-along and she would often join her ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty on stage at festivals and during his gigs.
But she was banned from singing with ex-husband Jamie Hince’s band The Kills by frontwoman Alisson Mosshart, who told the Telegraph’s Mandrake: “The Kills have never had anybody else sing on any of their tracks – ever – so I don’t see any reason why that would happen.
“It wouldn’t seem appropriate. I don’t really like that thing of doing something for no reason, with no idea behind it, to get a record with somebody’s name on.”
