Sean Connery’s daughter in law posts poignant tribute to late star after his death at 90
THE grieving partner of Sean Connery’s son has posted a photo tribute in memory of the 007 star.
Irish singer Fiona Ufton put up a picture of the star on her social media – with no caption.
Condolences flooded Fiona’s account within minutes of the posting, with one pal writing: “So sorry he was the best bond and will be sadly missed a lovely actor Jason may your dad R.I.P..”
A family friend said: “A simple picture without a gushing message fits exactly with the way Sean was in life – dignified and to the point. This is as much a tribute from Jason as it is from Fiona.”
Sean’s actor and director son Jason, 57, has private social media accounts but he said after his dad’s passing he had been “unwell for some time” before his death at age 90.
He paid tribute to his dad and said his death was a “sad loss for all people around the world”.
Jason told the BBC his dad “had many of his family who could be in the Bahamas around him” when he died at home.
He added: “We are all working at understanding this huge event as it only happened so recently, even though my dad has been unwell for some time.

“A sad day for all who knew and loved my dad and a sad loss for all people around the world who enjoyed the wonderful gift he had as an actor.”
Heartbroken Jason and his partner of almost five years Fiona posed alongside Sean for one of the last pictures taken of the star.
The trio smiled for the camera – and Sean pointed to the heavens – in a snap taken during his 89thbirthday celebrations at the Bahamas home he barely left for the past three years as he suffered dementia.
