Is Love Island’s Zara Holland going to win Miss GB back after petition gathers 8,000 signatures?

Or will the blonde beauty instead opt for a career in x-rated movies?

Zara Holland

MORE than 8,000 fans eager for Zara Holland to be re-instated as Miss GB after her Love Island romp have rushed to sign a petition to show their support for the blonde beauty.

The catwalk queen's raunchy antics with co-star Alex Bowen saw her stripped of her glamour title yet if things go pear-shaped, the hunk has hinted bubbly Zara could set her sights on a career in porn movies.

Yesterday telly fans saw the northern lass break down in tears as ITV2 producers told her the sex session with Alex Bowen in the show's Hideaway villa had cost the babe her career title.

The hunk then cheekily quipped she could launch a fresh career as a hot actress in an X Rated movie.

Furious fans have made it their mission to see the sparkly headpiece returned to its previous owner and see Zara, 20, handed back her Miss GB title.

The petition total has rocketed to more than 8,000 signatures as well as securing the support of celebrities including Anthea Turner - who spearheaded the rallying cry with a Tweet that showed her support for Zara.

Set up by a riled fan it blasts the decision by Miss GB organisers as a "harsh punishment" after "a silly little mistake and for only being human."

It added:

"I am aware that having a title like that comes with responsibilities and I for one think she has been absolutely amazing, she has shown she is a strong positive person, we have to remember she is still a young lady and what happened was only natural.

"I think she should be given a second chance as Miss Great Britain!"

Meanwhile, an official statement from Miss GB officials read: “Following recent actions within ITV2 show 'Love Island' it is with deep regret that we, the Miss Great Britain Organisation, have to announce that Zara Holland has formally been de-crowned as Miss Great Britain.

"As an organisation we have not taken this decision lightly, we are close to all of our winners and wherever possibly stand by them during their reign. "That said, we feel we have no choice but to make this decision under the circumstances."

Yet Alex, who used to date ex Geordie Shore babe Vicky Pattison, has suggested a career in porn could be a second-best and joked on last night's show: "You know what, at the end of the day, maybe you'll get a porn deal after this and you won't have to worry about Miss GB anymore."

Yet less-than-impressed Zara simply responded: "F**k off, it's not funny."

During last night's show the sexy pageant star blurted out her emotions to her Love Island housemates.

She said: “I did Miss Great Britain because I wanted to.

"It’s something I wanted to do. And if you put that hard work in and the commitment and the time and the effort…I did and I won, and I worked so hard.”

“And now I just made one silly, stupid mistake of being in the moment has ruined everything.”

The reality star also revealed she’d happily take the title back if it was offered, adding: “I can’t even put into words how gutted I am. So if they want to give me it back that’s fine.”

The beauty has since been forced to leave the show due to an emergency with her loved ones.

A statement from ITV read: "Owing to an illness in the family, Zara Holland has left the Love Island villa to return to the UK.

"Our thoughts are with her and her family and we send all of our best wishes."
Zara added: "I'm so sad to leave the villa but it's important for me to get home and spend time with my mum while she gets better. I've had the time of my life on Love Island and would like to thank all of my fellow Islanders and the production team for all their support."

Is a petition gets 10,000 the UK Government will respond directly, while if more than 10,000 put their name to it, the issue will be up for debate in parliament.

The Sun online has approached Miss GB organisers for a comment.
