Why Holly Willoughby blasted Phillip Schofield live on This Morning
The blonde's cheeky colleague tried to make her jump
JUMPY This Morning babe Holly Willoughby branded co-host Phillip Schofield an "idiot" as he tried to make her SQUEAL in fear live on the show.
The blonde was left wide-eyed in shock after her cheeky colleague shouted: "boo" and lunged towards her with his hands outspread as she opened a segment about Philip Glenister's scary new TV show Outcast.
His bold - and very unexpected - move left actor Philip and the crew in fits of uncontrollable laughter.
Smiling through the surprise Holly rather breathlessly said: "You're just an idiot!
"One of these days I will swear!"
She had opened the interview and said: "It's not for the faint hearted, the show promises to shock, scare and surprise," before Phil made his timely move.
Silver-haired Phil clearly thought taking advantage of Holly's squealy nervy character was hilarious and he was left holding his head in his hands.
Holly then succumbed and while giggling, told former Life on Mars star Philip to "stop laughing" as he joined in with the joke.

Schofe's scary surprise came as the pair were chatting to the TV about his latest scary TV project.
Phil plays Reverend Anderson, a preacher based in America's deep south, in the new series to be broadcast on Fox.
His character helps a troubled man whose life is plagued by spirits and what Holly said were "her favourites" - demonic possessions.
Again poking fun at Holly's tendency to get spooked, Phil said to her: "Do you want to put a cushion over your eyes," before they screened a teaser clip of the show.
The TV beauty said: "Yeah I'm not going to watch this, I want to hear your accent though so I will listen to it, I just can't watch it," as they all shared more laughs.
Talking of his new show, Philip said: "It's more unsettling and disturbing.
"I mean there are some quite gratuitous scenes but they are kind of earned.
"It's not just a show that's exorcism of the weak, it is cleverer than that."
He added: "It's a slow-burner but it creeps into your psyche - that's what I love about the show."
Meanwhile Philip gave Life on Mars fans a teaser about what might be to come for the popular BBC show which ran for two series.
He told the pair: "I had lunch with John Simm and we talked about the fact that maybe we should have done a third series which we didn't.
"Possibly if a movie version of Life on Mars came up, maybe that would be the route to go down."
