Love Island’s Kady threatens to quit after Scott gets close to new girl Tina as best pal Zara Holland leaves the show
Reality star couldn't handle being banished to the Hideaway
LOVE Island's Kady McDermott has threatened to quit the reality show after Scott Thomas got close to new girl Tina Stinnes.
The 20-year-old was banished along with Olivia Buckland to the Hideaway soon after her best friend Zara Holland left the villa, leaving her partner to go on a date with the pretty blonde.
Struggling with the loss of her pal - who has flown back to the UK to be by her sick mother's bedside - the confined space and not knowing what Scott's true feelings for her were, Kady quickly started to "think the worst".
But things really kicked off when Kady saw Scott and Tina return to the villa, ignoring her in the process and causing Kady to rudely shout across to the pair, leaving the 21-year-old business student upset.
As she saw her fellow islanders consoling the new girl, Kady fumed: "Why’s she crying? They’re hugging her. Why do they all look so shocked?
"I’m not staying in here. I’d rather walk I’m telling you now. I’m not staying in here.”
Kady's behaviour caused the rest of the cast to turn their backs on her, with Terry Walsh reassuring Tina: "Her attitude stinks."
However, there was no stopping Kady as the prospect of spending the night away from Scott caused her emotions to get the better of her.
She raged: "Why are they acting like we’re strangers. They’re ignoring us, even the girls.
"I won’t be able to stay in here tonight. I just can’t do it. It’s doing my head in. I actually can’t deal with it.”
RELATED STORIES
While Kady ranted in the Hideaway and the Beach Hut, Scott was in for a shock of his own when Malin took him to one side to tell him what Kady had said when new boys Alex and James had arrived at the villa.
She revealed: "She said to me in the bathroom, she was like ‘when Scott hugged me earlier today in my head I was thinking ‘don’t hug me because the new boys are around.’
"You were a challenge to her, but now she’s got you.”
Furious at what he heard, Scott replied: "She’s been telling people in the villa that now the two new guys are in it’s made her start thinking.
"That’s just the muggiest comment I’ve ever heard.”
The Mancunian quickly headed to confront Kady, undeterred by the fact they were separated by a wall.
He yelled: "It’s been shown on TV! You didn’t want to hug me because you liked those two boys! They’ve shown it on TV.”
After security stepped in to cool the situation between the pair, Scott spent the rest of the night with Tina, confiding in her just how much of a "mug" he had been.
When Kady was finally allowed to return to the villa the next morning, Scott was quick to put her in her place about Tina.
He said: "Listen to me, that girl Tina didn’t say a bad word about you.
"All the group were so disgusted in you that some of them started telling me things. Liana backed it up and said ‘yeah, that was shown on TV.’”
Kady was unapologetic for her actions, telling Scott: "You’re horrible. You believe two girls over me.
"I’m not having everyone listening. I’m going, I’ve told them.”
Kady's day went from bad to worse when she heard Scott had spent the night with Tina while she was going out of her mind in the Hideaway.
She told him: "I can’t be here if you’re staying in a bed and I have to watch.
"You’re going to have to stay downstairs with me if you want to make it work. You’re actually going to couple up with Tina?”
Scott solemnly replied that they couldn't make their relationship work, irrespective of Tina or any other women in the villa.
He said: "I’m not saying I’m going to couple up with anyone. We’re done. It can’t work. It’s toxic.
"I know that’s horrible but you’ve brought that on yourself. You’ve pushed me away. You’ve mugged me off.
"It’s not about anyone else. I don’t want to be with anyone else. But we can’t be together.”
