Piers Morgan splashes out on £15,000 sound-proofed pod for his garden
AS a former editor of Bizarre, Piers Morgan has never been afraid to speak his mind.
But in a shock twist for the most outspoken man in Britain, it appears he’s finally giving TV co-star Susanna Reid what she’s wanted for many years — putting himself into solitary confinement in a sound-proofed pod.

The Good Morning Britain host is splashing out £15,000 on a spherical “man cave” for the bottom of the garden of his London home.
And according to planning documents, it promises “high levels of acoustic insulation”. The unusual structure, which looks like a giant coconut, will completely cut Piers off from the outside world — well, almost
But before Susanna and the rest of the GMB team become too excited, it appears he plans to use the wooden space to work on more of his books and ideas.
It comes after the success of his latest tome, Wake Up: Why The World Has Gone Nuts.

In planning permission paperwork, engineers said: “The proposed archipod garden structure is intended to provide a quiet, remote working space for Mr Morgan that is separate from the house.
“The pod has high levels of acoustic and thermal insulation together with generous natural light.”
Piers has become a constant thorn in the side of the Government in recent months, regularly taking ministers to task over their response to the Covid crisis.
So perhaps they ought to fast-track his planning permission if he agrees to isolate in there for the foreseeable.
But something tells me they’ll have to send him to a pod on the moon if they want to keep him off their backs for long . . .

J-Lo and behold
JENNIFER Lopez picked one dress for the People’s Choice Awards in America – but it was a different story for Demi Lovato who was clearly spoilt for, er, choice.
While J Lo looked outstanding in this red number – sporting matching lipstick – Demi wore five outfits.

She even couldn’t make her mind up on her hair, having it dark on the red carpet then two different shades of blonde later in the evening.
South Korean band BTS were the big winners at the US bash in California, picking up four gongs.

Little mums on warpath
LITTLE Mix aren’t to be messed with – and neither are their mums.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s mum Debbie has lashed out at the group’s US record label, claiming they haven’t promoted the girls’ sixth album Confetti Stateside.

In a tweet on Sunday she said: “Surprised at how they are getting no promo from you as their label in USA when they are on the verge of probably their most successful era.”
It was reposted hundreds of times before being deleted, and got huge support from fans.
The album went to No2 here on Friday but today charted at a disappointing No83 in the US, lower than their previous records.
The girls have made one of their best albums with Confetti and have already sold more than 50,000 copies here.

Given it’s been so well received, the label really is missing a trick by not getting the music out to US ears.
ONE of the most hotly-tipped British singers for 2021, Holly Humberstone, has debuted her short music film On The Run on YouTube. It features six songs, including fan favourites Overkill and Drop Dead, taken from August’s Falling Asleep At The Wheel EP. Holly, who shot it near her home town of Grantham, Lincs, said: “This film sums up how I’ve been feeling this year. At times I’ve just wanted to run away.”
Shawn & Cam take it tea-sy
THEY may have been in fitness gear, but it looks like the only sweat Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello were in danger of working up came from the hot drink.
The showbiz couple were snapped on Sunday near her home in Miami.

And despite their exercise being a gentle stroll, they’ve clearly been keeping in shape judging by their toned bodies.
Camila has recently filmed musical Cinderella and Shawn will release fourth album Wonder on December 4, putting him head-to-head with a new record from Yungblud.
He looks fighting fit for that chart battle.
Ed's girl to get the chop
ANNE-MARIE already has plans to make sure no one messes with Ed Sheeran’s two-month-old daughter when she eventually starts school.
The 2002 singer, pictured with her pal Ed, is a black belt in karate and plans to teach little Lyra a few of her moves.

Anne-Marie, who supported Ed on his Divide tour in 2017, said in an exclusive chat: “I feel like I could just teach her a little bit about being a hard nut.
“I said to him, ‘I can’t wait to teach her karate’.
“I’ve not met her yet. They’re being very socially distanced just because of health and stuff like that – taking a break to be a family, I guess.” And Anne-Marie reckons Ed will be coping well with being a dad.
She said: “He’s very warm and caring so I don’t think he’ll have to change too much. But I do think he’s going to sleep a lot less than he did, so we will see what that makes him turn out to be as a person.”
McFly try fan site
FAN clubs have disappeared in the internet age but McFly are relaunching theirs for the digital generation.
The Brit manband have announced their own subscription channel, McFly Total Access.

It will feature exclusive video content, live performances, Q&As and other behind-the-scenes action associated with the group
It will launch on Friday with a stream of their reunion concert at London’s O2 Arena from last year – but it doesn’t come cheap.
They are charging £9.99 a month, or £99 for a year, to get on to the site. The move follows the release of their first album in a decade, Young Dumb Thrills, on Friday.
Today it was on track to go to No2 in the charts, behind AC/DC’s latest record Power Up.
If the album isn’t enough to whet the appetites of McFly fans though, there will be plenty more on this site.
Rachel is back live
S CLUB 7’s Rachel Stevens is making a comeback to the stage after a five-year break.
The Reach singer has signed up to perform a Christmas cabaret to brighten people’s spirits once the lockdown ends in England next month.

She will be a resident performer at Proud Embankment in London from December 2, doing a total of eight shows on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
It will be a big deal for Rachel, as she has rarely sung live by herself since her Come And Get It tour in 2006. She was last on stage in 2015 for S Club’s Bring It All Back reunion tour.
Not only did she score five Top Ten hits as a solo artist including Sweet Dreams My LA Ex, but she had four No1s with S Club, who also won two Brit Awards.
Rachel’s move comes after I revealed earlier this year how her former bandmate Jo O’Meara is also making a comeback, with a solo album due to be released in 2021.
With a lot of live music on pause for now, Rachel deserves a hand for getting back out there to bring her fans some Christmas cheer.

DRAKE is one of the biggest names in hip-hop, is worth more than £100million and has scored 56 Top 40 hits, including six No1s.
But he is shattering his hardman reputation with his latest project, launching his own range of . . . scented candles.

The Canadian Hotline Bling rapper has set up the company Better World Fragrance House to flog them through, and they cost an eye-watering £74 each.
They won’t be on my christmas list.
Drake has already quietly launched four varieties with cryptic names, Carby Musk, Sweeter Tings, Williamsburg Sleepover and Muskoka.
It looks like he could soon be branching out too, having filed documents in the US saying the company name also covers the sale of perfume, moisturiser and soap.
A source said: “Drake is always looking for other things to invest in and launch and thought this would be a high-end item which he would be happy to have in his own home.
“The candles are really pricey for most people but it’s a little bit of luxury.
