Strictly’s Caroline Quentin defends licking dance partner’s arm and ‘grossing out’ fans – saying ‘I’d do it again’

STRICTLY Come Dancing star Caroline Quentine has defended herself after licking her dance partner Johannes Radebe’s arm.

The 60-year-old actress, who was voted off the BBC reality series this weekend, left viewers speechless as she licked her pro partner during their  Cha Cha routine on Saturday.

During the performance, the Men Behaving Badly star dressed as a housewife whose cat was stuck in a tree, while her partner was a fireman.

But things got weird when Johannes pulled Caroline in and she licked his arm.

Despite “grossing out” some fans, Caroline insisted she’d “do it again tomorrow” as she appeared on It Takes Two on Monday evening.

She told host Zoe Ball: “I don’t think I have made a secret of the fact that I am quite fond of Johannes.

“It was really nice to do a dance where I was allowed to express my absolute adoration. We didn’t actually practice it in the rehearsal.

“It came out during the dress run, and it was given the stamp of approval by people who know about that sort of thing.”

The star added: “I’d do it again tomorrow, I am entirely unapologetic about it.”

Caroline’s lick wasn’t enough to secure her a top spot, as she came second from the bottom with just 24 points during Saturday’s show.

Craig Revel Horwood said during the feedback: “I think Johannes is the only one that needs rescuing!

“We really could have done without your tongue. I felt like I was watching an episode of Are You Being Served? I’m sure you based your character on that… but I loved it, I absolutely loved it.”

Despite her apparent enthusiasm, Caroline’s time on the BBC show came to an end after battling it out in the dance-off with EastEnders actress Maisie.

Once both couples had danced again, the judges chose to save Maisie, 19, and Gorka Márquez.
