Heavy's devastated family wonder if he died from Covid and are anxiously waiting for a post mortem to be carried out.

A friend has now told The Sun Online that Heavy had recently found love with a new partner following his split from fiancée Bryony Harris.

The pal said: "He texted me a few weeks back, saying he was dating someone new and planning to cover up a tattoo tribute to Bryony.

"He was looking to the future."

Heavy - real name Colin Newell - first found fame after appearing on the telly show Storage Hunters.

The star became known for his catchphrase "Boom!" which he shouted after sealing a bid on the show.

He went on to take part in the 18th series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2016 and was the fourth person evicted from the show.

Later that year, Heavy got engaged to Bryony just one month into their whirlwind romance.

The telly star popped the question to Bryony during an appearance on pal Lizzie Cundy's Fubar Radio show.

The following year they had a daughter called Rory, now three, but the later split.

Following his death, Bryony shared a picture of herself, Heavy and Rory on Twitter alongside an emotional tribute.

She said: "I loved this man we argued we hated each other but we had love at one point and a beautiful daughter rest in peace you silly thing!

"Now time to myself please guys no messages."

The tragic discovery came after friends had raised concerns, saying the star had not been seen for several days.

His family fear he may have died of Covid and a post mortem is set to take place in the coming days.

A relative said: "This is very early days and the cause of his death is a mystery at the moment.

"He was obviously a big guy so there's an investigation on whether it is linked to Covid."

Earlier this month, the telly star posted a series of videos on Instagram complaining he was being bombarded with nuisance phone calls.

Shouting at the camera, he said: "F***ing hell, alright you’ve got my number, doesn’t mean you’ve got to f***ing wear it out."
