BEN Affleck has made a bizarre appearance on a US chat show, and prompted speculation he was drunk.

The actor, who was on HBO’s new program Any Given Wednesday appeared to slur his words, swore continuously and got very irate.

He was discussing the topic of Deflagate – the NFL American Football Championship Game scandal which involved Tom Brady, and revolved around allegations footballs had been tampered with.

Ben, 43, who was on the sports and pop culture discussion show in the US on Wednesday, sent social media into a spin as he went red in the face, seemed to slur his speech and got angry as he defended the New England Patriots quarterback.

Dropping the F-bomb 18 times, presenter of the sports and pop culture show, Ben Simmons appeared to struggle to stop himself laughing at certain points in the five minute tirade.

Ironically the set is decorated with alcoholic drinks bottles.

The Batman vs Superman star ranted: “Deflategate is the ultimate bullsh*t f***ing outrage, of sports ever. It's so f***ing stupid.”

Getting more and more riled, the actor went red in the face as he slammed the NFL for banning Tom for refusing to hand over his mobile phone as part of the investigation.

He continued: “The first thing they're gonna do is leak this sh*t! I dunno, maybe it's funny lovely sex messages from his wife, maybe it's just friendly messages from his wife.”

Ben added: “Maybe Tom Brady is so f***ing classy, and is such a f***ing gentleman, that he doesn't want people to know that he may have reflected on his real opinion of some of his co-workers.”
