MARIA Fowler has slammed online trolls who criticised her for daring to think about her post-pregnancy body.

The former TOWIE star - who is expecting her first child with BMX champ Kelvin Batey in September - took her haters to task after she posted a photo of herself on her Instagram page from a year ago.

The photo shows Maria looking very toned and trim in a peach-coloured bikini which she captioned: “One year ago... Will I ever manage to get this back after baby? I’ll need some serious clean diet and exercise regime.”

But rather than praise her for wanting to get fit again, she was slammed by followers who thought her baby should be taking priority over her figure.

In comments that has since been deleted, Maria was a accused of being “selfish”, was told to “get a grip” and another advised her to “just have lipo again”.

And speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Maria said: “I’m going nuts! People on Instagram! Because I want to get my pre-baby body back, I’m selfish to people who can’t conceive! They go on and on!”

Maria, 29, was also slammed after she posted a photo of herself and Kelvin, 35, enjoying a family day with a stroll through the country as she munched on a Mr Whippy ice cream.

Something which also caused her critics to jump on as they lectured her on the dangers of soft ice cream, as one wrote, “You need to be careful eating soft ice cream in pregnancy,” and another added: “Someone's got to look out for your unborn baby, is it really worth risking listeria?”

She raged to us: “They’re driving me nuts! Making out they’re midwifes picking everything apart, everything I do like I’m not doing my best for baby! There are so many dos and don’ts and as soon as you do the smallest thing they all jump on it! People are so quick to pull apart what you’re doing?.”

Maria also said she had also been slammed over the way she had decided to decorate her nursery and added: “Someone on Twitter told me the other day the nursery wasn’t ‘stimulating’ enough because I want plain bedding.

“Pregnancy is meant to be a happy time but people are so quick to pull you down and criticise you for any little thing. It’s so frustrating!”

She also took to Twitter to vent her frustrations and wrote: “Anyone else that tells me anything I’m doing wrong in pregnancy is getting blocked. Perfect parents and pretend midwives all over the gaff.”
