Strictly millionaire Bill Bailey has £900k in the bank despite stand up tour being cancelled

COMEDIAN Bill Bailey is laughing all the way to the bank with almost £1million held in his private companies, The Sun can reveal.

New accounts show £887,000 worth of profits and £1,231,857 in assets across three firms for the 55-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star.

On top of these monies, he has an undisclosed amount in a property firm, with Bill's riches run-up over the lifetime of his private firms - which he co-runs with wife Kristin.

The comic's top company is Glassbox Productions, which was set-up in 2012.

The net worth for this firm tipped £594,569 after bills this year - a £104,000 increase on 2019.

New accounts for it report £747,441 in assets.

The star's second largest company is Beinzeit, which was set up in 2008, which had £204,775 of assets on its books in the new accounts.

After allowing for bills, its net worth rose by £110,000 to £176,340.

Bill's third firm is Glassbox Rights, set up 2007, which had £279,641 worth of assets - after making a £1,000 profit on the year.

After allowing for bills, its net worth was £116,265.

Accounts for these three firms are for the year ending 31 March 2020, and all report their nature of business as "other support service activities not elsewhere classified."

Meanwhile, Bill's property firm is called Kampung Pala Properties.

It was set up in June 2019, with its nature of business reported on Companies House as "buying and selling of own real estate."

The star's fortune is impressive considering his stand up tour was cancelled this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

However, Bill has managed to keep his fans entertained with his appearance on BBC One dance show Strictly - where he is one of the favourites to win.

After admitting that he thought he'd be the programme's 2020 "joke act", Bill has wowed judges and viewers alike with his show-stopping performances and dance talent.

He and professional partner Oti Mabuse landed a spot in Saturday night's final without ever being in the bottom two, and will now fight Maisie Smith, HRVY, and Jamie Laing for he prestigious glitterball trophy.
