Jess Wright ‘devastated’ after Tier 4 rules cancel New Year’s trip to Dubai and ruins Christmas present to fiance
TOWIE’S Jess Wright was close to tears as she revealed her “dream got taken away” due to Tier 4 coronavirus restrictions – which put a stop to her surprise pre-wedding Dubai trip.
The reality star – who often heads to the holiday hotspot with her famous family – took to her Instagram Stories to admit she was still in “shock” and “couldn’t speak” after the major rule change.
Jess, 35, was last in the UAE city in October with her sister Natalya and mum Carol for a well earned break.
And she told her online followers she was set for a repeat trip with her fiance William Lee-Kemp, yet after the UK Government clamped down on the mutant Covid strain with new restrictions, this was not to be.
The brunette, who lives in Essex, honed in on a glass of champagne next to some festive wrapping paper as she wrote: “Tier 4 made me do it.”
She then switched the lens to her face as she said: “Tier 4 life hunnies.
“I mean I just cannot … more to the point I was going away for New Years with my hubby to be.
“We said that this year we were going to give each other our flights and accommodation for our holiday to Dubai as our Christmas presents to each other.
“We aint going anywhere now though guys.”
Clearly gutted, she added: “To say devastated is an understatement but of course so long as we are safe and healthy that’s all that matters.”
Jess later sent love out to anybody spending Christmas Day alone, as well as small businesses and restaurants.
In the caption accompanying some of her scenes, bride-to-be Jess ranted: “With the wedding coming up (we f**king hope)…” showing her clear frustration.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson placed regions of Essex, London and the south east into a new Tier 4 region beginning on Sunday.
Travel outside of Tier 4 areas is not permitted – meaning the TV star’s dream getaway could not go ahead.
