Vernon Kay and Tess Daly put on a united front as they arrive at Wimbledon

VERNON Kay and Tess Daly have kept a low profile since their marriage was rocked by a sexting scandal earlier this year, but the couple arrived at Wimbledon today hand in hand, putting on a united front.

Vernon, 42, and 47-year-old Tess looked happy and relaxed at day two of the tennis tournament, where they were pictured enjoying time in the Royal Box, where Vernon was seen whispering lovingly into his wife's ear.

Tess was dressed in a flattering white bodycon dress, silver studded heels, and large sunglasses; while Veron looked dapper in a dark blue suit and black Chelsea boots.

The couple hit the headlines in April when it emerged that Vernon was still in contact with model Rhian Sugden, 29, whom he had been caught sending explicit text messages to back in 2010.

Six years ago Vernon was forced to make a public apology to his wife on Radio 1 after his “sexting” with Rhian was made public.

In a grovelling statement the DJ said: "Now this week you may or may not be aware that because of some foolish and stupid decisions I have made, I have disappointed and I have let down a lot of people.

"To my family and everybody, I am very sorry."

But in April this year Vernon, who has been married to Strictly presenter Tess since 2003 and has two daughters with her, had to issue a second statement when it emerged that he had been messaging the model in December and asking to meet.

The Radio X DJ explained: “I recognise how it may look when messages are pulled out of context but there was never any inappropriate intent to our communication.

“I was merely trying to find answers to questions I’ve had since 2010.”

After receiving a barrage of abuse, Rihan took to Instagram to set the record straight and deny she is a “homewrecker.”
