Carol Vorderman, 60, reveals she feels ‘positively sick’ at the thought of a relationship

CAROL Vorderman, 60, has revealed she feels 'positively sick' at the thought of a relationship.

The TV presenter has been single since she split from journalist Des Kelly in 2007, but despite having plenty of male fans and attention, Carol insists she is happy on her own.

She told : "The thought of sharing my life with someone again makes me feel positively sick."

Carol has been married twice, first to Christopher Mather from 1985 to 1986 and then to second husband Patrick King from 1990 until 2000 and the couple have two children.

Tweeting a link to her interview, Carol cheekily referenced her single status again, writing: "Oh.. I make myself laugh sometimes.... headline in today's @Telegraph...."the thought of living with someone again makes me feel positively sick"... my way of saying I'm VERY happy as a badly behaved singleton."

Her comments come a couple of months after she revealed she has 'special friends' and enjoys dating without anything becoming serious.

She told The Mail last year: "I'm very happy, I have no complaints. I am not dating anyone, I have special friends. Special friends. Plural."

Meanwhile Carol also spoke to The Telegraph about the amount of attention her sensational figure gets in the press and on social media.

The star - who enjoys long walks near her home in Wales and follows a healthy diet - said: "I can do a million things on social media about being a pilot, but as soon as I put up a photo [of me] with a tight outfit on, that's the one that gets the publicity.

"Therefore, the public only see one side of me."

It's something that Carol has unfortunately become used to, having been in the industry for almost 40 years.

Carol, who has a new series called Closer to Home, said: "When I was 39, I was on the box five nights a week earning millions of pounds a year.

"And then I went to the Baftas in a short blue dress, papers went mental for months."

Carol Vorderman: Closer to Home begins on January 5 on BBC Wales and on BBC iPlayer.
