Tour De Celeb has first casualty as Made in Chelsea’s Hugo Taylor checked over by medics
New Channel 5 cycling show follows contestants taking part in gruelling 146km endurance ride through the Alps
REALITY stars thought they were safe after The Jump ended.
But Channel 5’s new programme Tour De Celeb is already proving hazardous to our TV favourites.
HUGO TAYLOR was yesterday being checked over by medics on the show which follows contestants as they take part in a gruelling 146km endurance ride through the Alps.
Insiders hope Hugo’s injury isn’t too serious and was probably the result of some vigorous training by the former Made In Chelsea regular.
But it’s not the best start.
A source said: “They’re all keen to get off to a good start but Hugo overdid it. He’s frustrated but hopes to be back in the saddle soon.
“After the uproar surrounding The Jump, producers will be hoping this is the first and last of the injuries.
“With just eight people taking part they can’t afford to lose any more.”
Hugo — MILLIE MACKINTOSH’s boyfriend — was forced to pull out of a press event yesterday on doctor’s orders and told to rest to make sure he is fine to take part in the main show challenge.
It comes days after he and Millie, fresh from her divorce from rapper PROFESSOR GREEN, spent the weekend at Glastonbury — which can’t have helped his physical state.
Joining Hugo on Tour De Celeb are ANGELICA BELL, JODIE KIDD, AUSTIN HEALEY, DARREN GOUGH and Winter Olympics star AMY WILLIAMS.
They are being trained by Olympic cycling ace VICTORIA PENDLETON.
C4’s The Jump was almost axed after seven celebs ended up badly hurt, including BETH TWEDDLE who damaged her back, and Hugo’s MIC pal MARK-FRANCIS VANDELLI, who broke an ankle.
It’s safer drinking champers on the King’s Road.
