Emily Atack has split from toyboy Charlie Edwards after lockdown put pressure on their romance

EMILY Atack’s career has gone from strength to strength in the past few months but the same can’t be said for her love life.

The actress-turned-comic has unfortunately split from her boyfriend Charlie Edwards after Covid restrictions put pressure on their romance.

Emily found it difficult to get together with the tattooed model after the Government imposed strict rules about meeting up with other households. The situation was made worse due to her hectic work schedule.

Not only has she had her ITV2 comedy show, but she also spent much of the end of 2020 filming Celebrity Juice, and that commitment eventually spelled the end of their fling after three months.

A source close to the star said: “Emily’s work schedule has been busy lately and she’s had to really focus on making that work.

“She was really into Charlie, who is obviously very handsome. and there was a good spark there, but it’s definitely over.

“They both tried to make it work and she is hoping the door remains open. But with work schedules and lockdown, it’s just impossible at the moment.”

The Sun revealed Emily and Charlie were an item in October after they were seen on a night out in London.

Now Charlie has jetted off on holiday to Dubai, while Emily has stayed home.

After her relationship with film producer Rob Jowers ended in September 2019, Emily signed up to celeb dating app Raya, which has counted David Walliams, singer and recent Strictly contestant Hrvy and Normal People actor Paul Mescal among its users.

During last year’s lockdown she tried virtual dates, but missed the romance of face-to-face meet-ups.

She said: “I need the tactile vibes. I’ve got to have the physical connection.

“I spoke to a couple of pleasant people but Zoom dating ain’t for me.”

I’m A Celeb runner-up Emily’s longest relationship was with model Jack Vacher, who she dated for five years until just months before she was in I’m a Celeb in 2018.

She previously admitted that before that she had a “nice little fling” with Harry Styles while he was in One Direction.

She said: “We were never boyfriend and girlfriend.

“Harry and I had fun, then went in opposite directions.

“We haven’t spoken in a while.”

Unfortunately, there’s no chance of going back there now that Harry’s off the market.

But I’m sure Emily will have no shortage of offers when it comes to men.

I’ve had times where I’ve felt quite hopeless about things.”

“Funny, it looks like she’s having a ball . . .

Ricky’s feeding time

ANYONE hoping to attend Ricky Gervais’ funeral when he pops his clogs better have a strong stomach.

The comedian said: “It would be good to be fed to the lions at London Zoo because we never give anything back.

“We take everything from this world, we eat animals, anything that moves we eat and destroy. Everything we do is for us.

“Also I’d like the look on the tourists’ faces when they throw this dead, fat, naked 73-year-old – maybe, if I’m lucky – to the lions and as it lands some people go, ‘Is that the bloke from The Office?’”

Speaking in the US, the After Life actor added: “I don’t care about being dead because I won’t know about it.

“It’s like being stupid, it’s only painful for others.

“I worry about how I will die. I don’t want to die alone or in agony and I don’t want an an embarrassing death.”

THE Grammys have been postponed due to concerns over the spread of Covid-19. Harry Styles, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus had all been due to perform at the bash on January 31. US sources say the do will be rearranged, probably to March. Trevor Noah was due to host the event in California. Beyonce leads the nominations with nine and Taylor, Dua Lipa and Roddy Ricch have six each.

Nat’s plea to Drake

NATHAN Dawe has just teamed up with Little Mix for his dance tune No Time For Tears but he is already eyeing up his next collaborators.

The Brit DJ told me: “Drake is my number one target. It’s probably an unrealistic one right now but I’m just going to say it anyway, put it out into the universe.

“I think my dream collabs would be Drake, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber or Billie Eilish, people on that international level.

“But I’m a massive fan of Anne-Marie and I’d love to do something with her one day.”

On his career goals, Nathan explained: “I’ve never had a No1, so that’s the number one aim, pardon the pun.

“And when we get back to normal, I want to do a world tour.

“Not just the UK. I want to be able to go to Australia, America and all over Europe, with people there who know who you are and want to see you.”

In the Mix for No1 x2

LITTLE Mix could score the chart double this Friday after a surge in sales of their album Confetti and single Sweet Melody.

I can reveal the tune is more than 4,000 copies ahead of Ed Sheeran’s Afterglow and is on track to be their fifth No1 single.

Their latest album is now at No2, fewer than 1,000 sales behind Taylor Swift’s Evermore. The record was held off the top spot by Kylie Minogue’s Disco when it was released in November, but still became the fastest-selling album of 2020 by any British group.

It’s a welcome boost for the group, three weeks after Jesy Nelson announced she was leaving. And with 2021 marking a decade of Little Mix, topping the charts is the ideal way to celebrate.

Kimcredible

KIM Kardashian showed Kanye West what he was missing with this photo, amid the growing whispers that the couple have separated.

The mum of four posted this mirror selfie to promote her new undies range from Skims.

You know you’re on to a winner when you can make knickers that are big enough to rival Bridget Jones’s look this good.

PALOMA Faith has said she is unsure whether she will ever get another No1.

Asked on Instagram about the prospect, the singer, whose Infinite Things charted at No4 in the album charts in November, said: “Infinite Things is the best album I’ve ever made and it wasn’t No1 so maybe not.” Her 2017 record The Architect is so far her only album to hit the top spot.

In the Instagram Q&A the pregnant star also said of giving birth this spring: “I’m a little bit scared for the NHS staff and how much exposure they are going to have to this virus by the time I get there.”

Jedward want Greta duet

OF all the mad things to happen over the past year, Greta Thunberg launching a music career and collaborating with Jedward would have to be at the very top of the list.

But that’s what the Irish twins are fighting for, claiming the Swedish environmental campaigner would be a shoo-in to triumph at Eurovision in May.

They tweeted: “Greta Thunberg better represent Sweden in Eurovision. The climate change anthem. We would love to collaborate.”

The brothers, who shot to fame on The X Factor in 2009, have represented Ireland at the international song contest twice but are now offering their, ahem, voices, to other nations.

They said: “FYI we have submitted songs to represent Ireland this year in Eurovision.

“In these unprecedented times we volunteer as tribute to be a standby act for all countries in Eurovision! All we ask is for spectacular pyro, hairspray and sequins.”

Unfortunately for Jedward though, British band The 1975 have beaten them to the idea of getting Greta on a tune.

She featured on a track called The 1975 two years ago, which included her reciting an essay about climate change over ambient music by the group.

On it, she called for “civil disobedience” and said “it is time to rebel”.

Jedward have never been ones to follow the rules, but I think Greta might mean rebelling in a different way.

And when it comes to all that hairspray, I’m not sure she will approve.

CARDI B has defended herself after a video went viral of her pausing her explicit song WAP when her two-year-old daughter Kulture walked in the room.

She was criticised on Twitter by people saying she didn’t care about other people’s children hearing the controversial track.

But defiant Cardi hit back: “I don’t make music for kids, I make music for adults.

“Parents are responsible for what their children listen to or see. I’m a very sexual person but not around my child, like every parent should be.”

Sam up for Eurovision

BLUE, Javine and Sugababes’ Jade Ewen have competed in Eurovision in the past and now another Noughties favourite is raring to try too – Samantha Mumba.

The Gotta Tell You singer has launched her comeback and is now keen to represent her native Ireland, which fans have been begging her to do for years.

In an exclusive chat, Sam said: “I have never been approached. Would I be up for it? Absolutely. It would be amazing. Yes. It’s the campest, funnest thing ever. I would be there with bells on.”

As for competing for the UK instead of Ireland, she added: “I’d be disowned. I don’t think I could. But at the same time, they haven’t asked me. As tempting as it would be, just to be petty . . . but no.”

Samantha, who is back with two singles, Cool and Process, now lives in Los Angeles but considered returning to Ireland ahead of the US presidential election.

She said: “I love the quality of life here and the weather and the lifestyle. But had Trump been re-elected I probably would have moved home pretty quickly.”

Now she hopes to put out her second album this year – 21 years after her debut – with encouragement from singer/songwriter MNEK.

Sam said: “I’ve always performed and done club shows and I felt regretful that I didn’t have anything new to perform.

“I got in the studio with MNEK and it went so well it reminded me why I love what I used to do. For a long time my passion for it had gone.

“Not even necessarily the music and the singing, but the industry and everything that comes with it. I was just a bit burnt out and over it.”

I know plenty of people who will be thrilled she’s back.

Emily Atack says her stint on I'm A Celebrity gave her a whole new lease of life in her career after growing tired of being sexualised
