Joe Wicks left red-faced after admitting he farted during live PE lesson – and 800,000 people heard it
JOE Wicks has been left red-faced after admitting that he farted during a live PE lesson – and 800,000 people heard it.
Fans were confused when they heard the suspicious noise while the 34-year-old star was off-camera during yesterday’s livestream.
And Mark Wright confronted Joe about it during an interview on today.
Sounding sheepish when the telephone chat kicked off, the fitness fanatic began: “I can’t believe we’re having this conversation, I know what you’re going to ask me already. Go on what is it?”
The host replied: “Let’s just talk about some kind of noise that happened to, how many people…?”
Joe replied: “I’m so embarrassed by what’s happened. Basically, I filmed my first PE with Joe yesterday, live at 9am, right?
“I pressed the live button just on my YouTube stream, and just before, I’m talking 20 seconds before, something slipped out Mark… and you can guess what it will be Mark…”
Mark interrupted: “How did it happen Joe? Because I’m looking at it, you’re so professional with your [YouTube] lives and stuff, you’re incredible with what you do, but how did you make the mistake?
“Did you already press ‘live’ and you didn’t know you was live? What went wrong?”
Joe explained: “Listen, 800,000 people have seen that video. I didn’t know.
“When you go live, you press live and there’s about a 20-second delay but for some reason the link had opened and it was buffering and it basically got the sound.
“So I’ve let out this giant – honestly, the longest – ripper I’ve ever let out in my life.”
He went on to confess that he didn’t even know all of his viewers had heard him until he saw a news article about the gaffe online today.
Thankfully, Joe is able to see the funny side and made light of the situation – however, he has since had the blunder edited out of the video.
He said: “I tell you what, some of the comments are hilarious! I’ve got to be honest, I’ve gone back to the video and got my mate to edit it out because I can’t have that living on there forever.”
Joe resumed his PE with Joe livestreams this week amid the UK’s third national lockdown, vowing to keep Brits active while stuck indoors.
Joe ended his first set of YouTube ‘PE teacher’ lessons in July, having raised £580,000 for the NHS through the ads that play on them.
