RICKY Gervais has brought David Brent back into the public eye in the only way that seemed right - through the power of song.
Brandishing an acoustic guitar, a red neck tie and white tank top, the Reading comedian has once again let loose quirky character Brent onto our ears with the song Lady Gypsy.
The song tells the sweet tale of him losing his virginity at the tender age of 18.
The hilarious and powerful folk ballad sees the confused youngster, played by 55-year-old Ricky, deflowered on a bed of heather, after making absolutely sure the woman he is sleeping with is NOT a prostitute, of course.
The song's release comes ahead of upcoming film, Life on the Road, which tracks life after The Office for performer (and sales rep), David Brent.
After being fired from his managerial role at Slough's Wernham Hogg paper company, the hapless performer has attempted to chase his dream by touring the UK with his ban, Foregone Conclusion.
Lady Gypsy is the first release from Life on the Road, the full album that will accompany the mockumentary film.
David's latest musical effort comes after the success of anthem Equality Street in 2013 - a reggae ditty performed with comedian Doc Brown (as rapper Johnson) for Comic Relief.
Johnson will be joining Brent for the ride and announces in the trailer he is less than thrilled about it.
"He has me rapping about a lot of weird s***," says Johnson.
He later adds: "You think it's painful to watch? I have to stand next to him!"
