Glastonbury Festival 2022 lineup rumours Elton John and Paul McCartney in legends slot with Taylor Swift to headline
GLASTONBURY 2022 lineup rumours are already circulating with Elton John and Paul McCartney tipped for the legend slot and Taylor Swift and Coldplay to headline.
It would be Coldplay's fifth time at Glasto if they sign up to play after the festival's two year absence due to Covid, with Billie Eilish the only officially confirmed act so far.
The bookies make it a 3/1 shot the band top the bill once again during next year's delayed festival.
While it's odds-on Taylor Swift headlines one night of the Pyramid Stage having originally been booked to perform in 2020.
Paul McCartney is fancied at 5/4, while Kendrick Lemar is also chalked up at 3/1.
Ladrokes offer 4/1 on Elton John heading to Worthy Farm in June 2022, or it's 5/1 the Eavis family secure the services of American a-listers J Lo or Lady GaGa.
Meanwhile, they still think there's hope for an Oasis reunion with 10/1 on Noel and Liam Gallagher finally putting their differences aside for an epic comeback on the Pyramid Stage.
Jessica O'Reilly of Ladbrokes told The Sun: "With Glastonbury delayed again for another year it goes without saying the Eavis family will be pulling out all the stops in 2022."
She added: "It looks like Taylor Swift and Paul McCartney could be asked to fulfil their 2020 headline spots, but the betting is wide open for the third night and we can't rule out Coldplay performing for a record 5th time, or even organisers flexing their muscles for Lady Gaga or J Lo to head to Worthy Farm."
Today, Emily Eavis revealed Glastonbury had been officially cancelled for a second year running.

The Sun revealed last month that the chances of staging Glastonbury 2021, which is famous around the world, were all but dead.
The organisers have confirmed that the five-day festival held in Pilton, Somerset has been scrapped in a post on Instagram.
Taking to Twitter Michael and Emily Eavis wrote: "With great regret, we must announce that this year’s Glastonbury Festival will not take place, and that this will be another enforced fallow year for us.
"Tickets for this year will roll over to next year"
The full statement reads: "In spite of our efforts to move Heaven & Earth, it has become clear that we simply will not be able to make the Festival happen this year. We are so sorry to let you all down.
"As with last year, we would like to offer all those who secured a ticked in October 2019 the opportunity to roll their £50 deposit over to next year, and guarantee the chance to buy a ticket for Glastonbury 2022.
