CHARLIE Sheen has announced his newest career move - and wants to become a resident of Albert Square.

Only six years ago, Charlie was the highest paid TV star for his role in sitcom Anger Management, but fell from grace in a series of bizarre interviews where he referred to himself as having "tiger blood".

However it appears the Two and a Half Men star wants to return to a humble position, and said he would be interested in joining BBC soap Eastenders.

He told : "A British soap opera set in London sounds great. I'd love that.

The actor then asked: "How can I make it happen?"

If he were to get a role on the hit BBC soap, it would mark the first time the show has bagged an A-Lister for their growing list of household names to make a brief appearance on the Square.

Busted star Matt Willis made a flying visit, while Bonnie Langford, Richard Blackwood and Danny Dyer have all become regulars after achieving fame away from the television programme.

Charlie has been making the rounds in the UK as the spokesperson for new condom brand Lelo Hex, and has opened up about his diagnosis of being HIV Positive.

The well-known ladies' man admitted to The Sun that he now "couldn't get laid in a women's prison" following going public with his diagnosis last November.

He told us: "It is what it is, and I don’t want to make light of it, but it changes the whole approach on it, because it’s no longer about my interests and my folly, it’s about the other person.

It’s about protecting them and just being open and responsible."

One thing is for certain...he is sure to fit right in with the shenanigans at the Vic!

It appears that his brief stint in the UK has left him open to the possibility of moving here a little more permanently, especially if the BBC come knocking...

But in the meantime, he is concentrating on being a better dad to his four children, and has been spending more time with them.
