'BULLYING CAMPAIGN'

Ulrika Jonsson reveals her son Malcolm, 12, is being bullied at school and it ‘nearly killed her’

ULRIKA Jonsson has opened up about her 12-year-old son being bullied at school, saying it "nearly killed her".

The 53-year-old mum-of-four detailed how Malcolm was subjected to a "bullying campaign" last year that she was desperate to "shield" him from.

Swedish native Ulrika said she initially had "different expectations" for her son to be more resilient than her daughters in the face of adversity.

But the TV star admitted she felt guilty and felt her son had an "unfair deal" as she looked back on the way she reacted to the bullying.

She told : "My boy was the subject of a bullying campaign a year or so ago and it nearly killed me.

"I felt I was expecting him to have greater resilience than my girls and, all the while, I wanted to shield him from the pain.

"In short, I had different expectations of him and I shouldn't have. Am I the only one who thinks we need to tip the balance of attention in favour of our boys a bit more?"

It comes just days after model Ulrika admitted she has been dating someone 21 years her junior in an exclusive interview with The Sun.

Dubbing the romance "enormously exciting for an old bird like me", the Gladiators presenter admitted it had done wonders for her self-confidence and warned men to watch out.

"It’s taken me a while to become the self-assured, sharp-witted sex goddess I now am," Ulrika said. "I don’t want kids and marriage, I want laughter, good food and sex . . . please.

"To that end, surely I’m God’s gift to the younger man? And I can probably help him with learning history and introduce him to old people’s music."

Ulrika admitted her attraction to younger men first emerged when she appeared on First Dates Hotel and the show researcher asked her what age range she was after... and she said '25 and up'.

"This was met with a long silence. I was 51 at the time," she said. "I think the poor girl was horrified by this delusional old has-been."

Wanting more excitement in her life, Ulrika looked back on her relationship with Sven-Göran Eriksson, saying their time between the sheets was about as exciting (and frustrating) as building some flat-pack furniture.

Ulrika wrote: "I carried on my pursuit for love, pausing briefly for a fumble under the covers with a nearly 60-year-old, Sven-Göran Eriksson.

"Remember him, the former England football manager?

"Yes, I am also trying to forget it because sex was about as exciting as assembling an IKEA bookcase, which is what makes my argument for a younger man inescapably convincing."
