What Dele Alli told fling Carla Howe about ‘tacky’ Ferne McCann – before ending it with model when he got jealous of another footie ace
Pals of Playboy twin Carla Howe claim footballer denied dating Towie star as he tried to woo her
PREMIERSHIP ace Dele Alli dismissed lover Ferne McCann as being "tacky" in his desperate bid to seduce Playboy model Carla Howe.
Pals of the petite brunette told The Sun that the Tottenham midfielder played down his romance with the Towie star as he attempted to woo the Slough-born beauty earlier this year.
They explained that Carla - who along with sister Melissa lives in Hugh Hefner's legendary Hollywood mansion - first started chatting to 20-year-old Dele back in January after he started following her on Instagram.
They said: "Dele started following her on Instagram at the start of the year and by February they were regularly WhatsApping.
"It wasn't until April that they eventually met up at exclusive nightclub DSTRKT, but things floundered after Carla saw he was linked to Ferne."
It was also reported that Ferne attended his birthday party - but things cooled after she started bragging to pals about her potential new status as a WAG.
The friend added: "Carla was horrified that Dele was dating a reality star - she thinks shows like Towie are really tacky.
"Even though Dele denied he was involved with Ferne in any way at all, and joined Carla in laughing at her, it changed things between them."
However it turns out it wasn't only Carla who was less than impressed with her would-be-lover's taste in the opposite sex.
The pal told The Sun that Dele stopped following Carla on Instagram after becoming jealous of rival footballer Cristiano Ronaldo also being amongst her online admirers.
They explained: "Carla and Dele are no longer in touch after he saw Cristiano had liked one of her photos.
"He was also less than impressed to see her photographed in Miami with Manchester United star Jesse Lingard.
"That was the nail in the coffin, he cut off all contact after that."
Dele has now moved on with mode Ruby Mae, who turned heads as she cheered on her man during the England team's disastrous outing against Iceland last week.
Carla has a well documented effect on footballers, and just days ago The Sun revealed that England defender Kyle Walker texted her from the team's Euro 2016 camp to tell her he "wished he was in Ibiza".
She's also dated Nathaniel Clyne as well as been linked to former Fulham star Jamie O’Hara, Arsenal player Jack Wilshere, ex-Man United star Patrice Evra, Mario Balotelli and Juan Cuadrado.
Carla also has a fondness for musicians, having been seen out with both Will.i.am and Snoop Dogg.
