Sophie Gradon QUITS Love Island and leaves the villa following backlash over cheating on Tom and dumping Katie

SOPHIE Gradon has sensationally quit Love Island just hours after saying she would stick it out on the show.

The stunning brunette had threatened to quit on last night’s episode after she realised the impact of her kiss with Katie Salmon.

The former beauty queen had hooked up with new islander Katie just hours after boyfriend Tom Powell was booted from the island.

However the new coupling didn’t go down to well with those watching at home - who branded her hypocritical.

Reality struck during a task in which the group had to guess who a series of tweets were about it.

The negative one referring to Sophie read:  “Sophie slated Terry for doing what he done to Malin yet she’s going to do the exact same.”

After hearing the viewer comments, an upset Sophie said: “Right, that’s it for me. I’m done. Yeah, I’m going to ask [if I can leave]. I cannot do this, it’s just too much of a mind-f***. It’s not worth it. It’s not worth losing Tom over. I can’t lose Tom, I can’t.”

She then went on to split up with Katie, despite only pairing up with her a day before.

Sophie said: “It’s not fair to couple up with someone who’s potentially interested in taking things further,” she added. “I don’t want to do something that I regret and ruin my relationship with Tom. I want him.”

Katie was not surprisingly left really shocked by her sudden change of heart and told her fellow Islanders that she had been “mugged” off.

She wasn’t the only one who was slightly sceptical about Sophie’s U-turn, with both the Islanders and viewers at home questioning her.
