The loved-up pair are looking forward to their first holiday together
LOVE Island’s Rykard Jenkins and Rachel Fenton have revealed that they are more loved-up than ever as they prepare for their first holiday together.
The pair have managed to re-conciliate outside of the villa after Rachel confronted him about sleeping with Olivia and their romance is going from strength to strength.
Speaking to the , Rykard gushed: "We're in a stage where we can't keep our hands off each other."
Rachel added: "We can't stop kissing. We are officially together and we're really happy. Not pet names but we are a bit cringe. I don't usually do public displays of affection, but that is what we're like."
Rykard proudly admitted that Rachel's family have been welcoming despite the drama which occurred during their time on the ITV show.
He explained: "I've met [Rachel's] family. I love them and they have really welcomed me with open arms. Rachel is yet to meet my family as we've been so busy in London."
The couple are already making holiday plans as Rykard added: "We thought we might get a break to we have a busy couple of months ahead. we've planned a couple of holidays - we're going to go America. We've got jobs to do as well. We're just doing what couples do."
As for who the pair are backing to win, Rachel said: " I love Cara and Nathan and Scott and Kady. They are both different couples though."
While Rykard added: "Yeah, they've really grown throughout the series."
Rykard dramatically left the Love Island villa last month in order to salvageg his relationship with Rachel after sleeping with Olivia.
At the time he said: “I decided to leave the villa because at that moment I was developing a really nice relationship with Rachel and watching her walk away, I knew I had the power to stay or go.
“No one was holding me to staying in the competition, so I decided I wanted to go after Rachel as that is who I wanted to be with.
“I didn’t want to meet anyone new and I wasn’t there for the prize money. I didn’t anticipate Rachel leaving in advance but when it came to it I had made up my mind – if Rachel left the villa, I was going as well."
Asked if he wished he had stayed on the show he said: “Not at all – the show is about couples and getting to know who you’re with and developing your relationship with your partner.
“Rachel getting dumped from the island was a clear sign I had to go with her."
After enjoying a blossoming relationship with Rykard on the show, Rachel was shocked to learn on her exit from the show that he had got up close and personal with Olivia while they were previously coupled up.
But Rykard says that he didn’t think it would be an issue her finding out: “I honestly didn’t think it would be as big a deal as it was.
“I’m glad it has been brought up and I’m pleased it’s out in the open.”
He also insisted that he and Olivia will stay friends: “Of course as I have nothing bad to say about her – I hope she finds someone in there that makes her happy. I think she will."
