THERE will be no big Strictly Come Dancing return for Flavia Cacace-Mistry and Vincent Simone.
The show favourites left the hit TV series together in 2013 and today confirmed on Loose Women they won’t be going back.
The pair were popular on the show and are often being asked when they will make their big comeback.
But fans were left disappointed this lunchtime when it was confirmed they would not be returning.
The news came after panellist Kaye Adams asked them: “We can’t let you go without asking the question, Strictly, would you go back?”
Flavia then said: “It’s an amazing show, and we will always say it was an absolute privilege to go on there and it’s given us such a huge platform to go off and do what we have been doing for the last 5 years.
“But I think our careers have moved on so much from it, with the theatre shows and the acting that we’ve been doing, that I think it would be like taking a slight step back for me.”
The dancing partners have been a double act since they paired up in 1994 when they first met in Guildford.
Although they also had a non-professional relationship at one point, both are now happily married to other people – Flavia’s husband is former EastEnders star Jimi Misty who she met on Strictly in 2010.
They talked to the Loose Women panel about how they were once a couple saying “that was a hundred years ago”.
They have been on tour for five years with their own show and revealed next week would see them complete 1,025 shows.
When asked how such a gruelling schedule worked with family and friends, Vincent admitted: “We don’t have a life!”
He then said: “I got married in July last year, but I haven’t seen my wife since then!”
The dancer then joked: “I hope she is still at the same address!”
