Jo Wood goes on date with lookalike of ex Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood
Her partner makes their date even more awkward by revealing he has no idea she was married to the Stones guitarist
JO WOOD probably has nightmares about the way her marriage ended to ROLLING STONES rocker RONNIE WOOD after he was caught doing the dirty behind her back.
And the past came back to haunt her when she went on a blind date with a man who’s the spitting image of him.
Jo was stunned while taking part in Celebrity First Dates, set to air on Friday — when producers had a laugh at her expense.
And her partner, a cockney Greek engineer called Ernesto, makes their date even more awkward by revealing he has no idea she was married to the Stones guitarist.
The resemblance is not missed by Jo, who at one point sneaks off to the loo to phone a pal, and tells her: “Jesus Christ he looks like my ex-husband.”
And it is not until Gogglebox’s SCARLETT MOFFAT, also on a blind date, pops over to say hello to Jo that he realises something is not right.
When she tells him about Ronnie, he is delighted, saying, “He has a big nose like me”, before admitting he also dyes his hair black.
Hopefully Ronnie, 69, who became a dad again with twin girls in May, will see the funny side of having his past dragged up.
He split from Jo when he was caught cheating in 2008 with teenage Russian cocktail waitress Ekaterina Ivanova, who went on to star on Celebrity Big Brother.
Ronnie dated a Brazilian model and a blonde promotions girl before he met his now wife Sally, who is a theatre director.
It has not been as plain sailing for Jo, who admitted joining dating app Tinder and paying an agency thousands to set her up with her ideal match before giving Channel 4’s show a go.
Once Ernesto, left, rumbles who her famous ex is, she doesn’t hold back in spilling the beans.
She said: “He ran off. I did a bit of detective work and found him. There he was with the other woman.
“I said, ‘Hi’ and realised it was over. It was heart-rending, my whole world fell apart.”
Not the conversation you want to have on a first date.
Bake Off takes the biscuit
THE biggest drama MARY BERRY and PAUL HOLLYWOOD, above, have to face together is usually a soggy bottom.
But they have now been brought into a row with the boss of the famous chocolate shop Choccywoccydoodah.
CHRISTINE TAYLOR, who returns with her chocolatiers in tomorrow night’s episode of Choccywoccydoodah on UKTV’s Good Food, 8pm, has hit out at Bake Off – likening the BBC series to dog show Crufts.
Christine, above, blasted: “Baking is not a specialist subject.
“Chocolate is but baking and cooking is not. They are turning what should be a fundamental, joyous thing that happens in everybody’s home as a matter of course into Crufts. They are turning it into something so judgmental. It’s wicked.”
The only way to settle this is a food fight.
Celebrations for Cowell
THIS year’s X Factor categories are in, and it’s good news for SIMON COWELL. He has the Girls, which I’m told is the strongest category this year. SHARON OSBOURNE has the Overs, NICOLE SCHERZINGER has the Boys, and LOUIS WALSH has the Groups.
Finding Hank?
ELLEN DEGENERES has dropped a hint there could be a third film after Finding Nemo and Dory.
The chat show host, whose self-titled programme airs on ITV2. voices Dory.
She hit the blue carpet for yesterday’s premiere in London’s Leicester Square with wife PORTIA DE ROSSI.
Ellen said: “I hope there will be a third. Don’t you want to see why Hank is so angry? He is a great character. I haven’t pitched this to bosses yet but I’m definitely planning to.” Hank, a “septopus” not octopus due to a missing tentacle, is a new character – and one of Ellen’s faves.
She sympathises with her amnesiac part, saying: “I forget people’s names a lot, a bad thing for what I do for a living.”
Britain’s Got Talent judge ALESHA DIXON and X Factor star FLEUR EAST also attended the premiere, jam-packed with screaming fans.
Their ears will ring for days.
Glorious Gillian
HERE is the first look at GILLIAN ANDERSON as DS Stella Gibson in the new series of The Fall.
The former X Files star will return to screens in the autumn for the third series of the BBC2 crime drama alongside Fifty Shades actor JAMIE DORNAN.
Newbies joining the show include Mr Selfridge’s AIDAN McARDLE and KRISTER HENRIKSSON who starred in the Swedish TV version of Wallander.
The last series ended on a cliffhanger, with Jamie’s character lying bleeding in Stella’s arms as she yelled: “We’re losing him!”
Roll on more dramatic scenes in series three.
Coronation grief
SIMON GREGSON’s CORONATION STREET character Steve McDonald will be left with the daddy of all problems soon.
During tonight’s episode, which I first told you about last month, Leanne Tilsley’s life is turned upside down as she finds she’s pregnant.
After suffering from sickness, Leanne agrees to see the doctor but is horrified when she returns to her flat with a positive test.
I wonder how Steve will react when he finds out this life-changing news.
Meanwhile, over on EASTENDERS, Pam Coker is rocked by a surprise visit from her grandson’s mum, who will be played by Holby City star Amy Marston.
But why is Jenny’s arrival so unwelcome?
