Steph Davis says she would ‘never’ terminate her pregnancy as she worries baby may be born with cystic fybrosis
Reality star has finally shown fans her baby bump in tell-all interview with OK! Magazine
STEPH Davis has told of the worry she has as an upcoming mother after finding out her baby may have cystic fybrosis.
The reality star has discovered that she carries the gene for the disease and if Jeremy McConnell, the father of her unborn child, carries it too, then the baby will be born with it.
She told : "Luckily there's a very low chance Jeremy will have the gene, but if he does I'll have the option to terminate the pregnancy, but I'd never do that.
"I'll love and look after this baby no matter what happens.
Jeremy is now set to give a blood sample in order to ensure Steph is fully prepared should the baby be diagnosed with the genetic mutation.
Cystic fybrosis is a genetic mutation that effects those that carry it in different ways and levels of severity.
It causes cells in the human body to be unable to move salt and water around the body effectively and could result with issues in the body including the lungs and digestive system.

Since the announcement of the former Hollyoaks star's upcoming arrival, Jeremy has vehemently denied that he was the father to her child, and has even gone so far as to suggest that she was even lying about the pregnancy completely.
After releasing the pictures of her exclusive interview, which included photographs of her scan as well as her growing bump, Jeremy tweeted a lacklustre reaction and wrote: "Article I done months ago, time will tell, I don't need to reiterate again. We were broke up for weeks [sic]"
Stephanie was clearly not impressed with his comments as she went on to tweet: “Gob sh**e. Right off for a nice day. Only 1 with egg on their face now is him."
Despite this, Steph has been inundated with messages of support following the photographs.
She wrote: “Hope every1 has a fab day. Thank you so much for lovely comments.”
She replied to one fan on Twitter: "Thank you [hearts] it's been hell but i'm so happy now xx"
