Jeremy McConnell refusing to provide blood sample despite Stephanie Davis’ cystic fibrosis concern for unborn baby
The actress needs to find out if Jeremy is also carrying the gene
JEREMY McConnell is yet to provide a blood sample so Stephanie Davis can test whether her unborn baby has cystic fibrosis.
The Sun Online can exclusively reveal that the Irish hunk has not been cooperating with the doctors dealing with Steph’s pregnancy – leaving her concerned about the health of her unborn child.
Yesterday the 23-year-old, who unveiled her baby bump for the first time, revealed she carried the gene for the disease and that if Jeremy, the father of her unborn child, carries it too, then the baby could be born with it.
An insider close to the former Hollyoak’s actress said: “Jeremy has been very vocal about his feelings that he isn't the child's father so Stephanie would like to publicly invite him to take part in a pre-paternity test.”

They added: “Jeremy has stated that he will step up once the baby is born, but like thousands of women around the country Stephanie feels this isn't good enough and this matter should be resolved immediately.”
Speaking about her worry in an interview with , the CBB star said: “Luckily there’s a very low chance Jeremy will have the gene, but if he does I’ll have the option to terminate the pregnancy, but I’d never do that.
“I’ll love and look after this baby no matter what happens.”
Following the news Jeremy, who was embroiled in a very public romance and break up with Steph, once again denied he is the father.
Linking to an article in which he states she had her period the last time her saw her, he wrote: “Article I done months ago, time will tell, I don’t need to reiterate again. We were broke up for weeks [sic]”
He added: “Everything will be dealt with accordingly and mature, but a baby doesn't fix a toxic relationship , end of discussion.”
Jeremy's rep said: "Jeremy offered to speak to Steph's consultant directly but the consultant declined to speak to him. The consultant is writing to him and he's still waiting for that letter."
What is cystic fibrosis?
Cystic fibrosis is a genetic mutation that effects those that carry it in different ways and levels of severity.
It causes cells in the human body to be unable to move salt and water around the body effectively and could result with issues in the body including the lungs and digestive system.
