Group tally up their marriages in latest discussion on fixed term marriages
THE LOOSE Women panel received a rude awakening on Tuesday's show after discovering they had ELEVEN marriages between the four of them.
Andrea McLean made the revelation as she hosted the ITV panel show alongside Katie Price, Janet Street Porter and Coleen Nolan.
The group were discussing the new idea of 'fixed term marriages', which offer those who tie the knot a get out clause after two years of being with their other half.
Talking to her "panel of experts" on the art of marriage, the group were decidedly split on whether or not the concept was a good idea.
Outspoken Janet, who has walked the aisle four times, was keen on the possibility, and joked that in her heydey had a "Pick n mix buffet of men" to choose from.
The sharp-witted comedian then added: "At least a car comes with a warranty which is more than I can say for most men!"
However Katie, who is currently in her third marriage, stood her ground and said that she believed that marriage was for life, despite her track record.
She said: "I think you should marry someone for life.
"You should not plan to divorce, and I know I have done that but it's what I believe."
The mother of-five then added that the idea of spending the rest of her life with the person she ties the know with was her "fairytale".
However, despite her dream scenario, Katie could see the upside in the marriage 'lease'.
She joked: "You could go down the contract route and save a fortune on lawyers!"
With seven marriages between Janet and Katie alone, Colleen and Andrea both have another two each - racking the score up to a phenomenal eleven.
The sassy reality star later backed new Prime Minister Theresa May after discovering they shared a love for thigh high boots.
She said: "It just goes to show that it doesn't matter how powerful she is, she's just like one of us girls.
"In fact, we have got something in common, she likes a pair of thigh length boots as well like me."
