‘I’m fighting a losing battle’: Vicky Pattison breaks down in tears after revealing she’s an ‘abuse victim’ on Loose Women

Loose Women star wept as she revealed she 'struggles every day'

Vicky Pattison

VICKY Pattison broke down in tears on Loose Women today as the panellists discussed their insecurities.

The TV personality recorded her inner monologue of all the mean things she says to herself every day.

Vicky started crying as they aired the clip as she said: "Oh my God, what are you doing here? You don't fit in, you're not as good as everyone else.

"Look at them, they're so glamorous, everyone is so funny here, everyone is so clever and they're just looking at you thinking 'Who are ya and what are ya doing here?'

"You don't fit in so just make it easier for yourself and go now because you're gonna fail and then everyone's gonna laugh."

Jane Moore leaned in to give her a hug and Vicky said: "I feel really stupid hearing that back."

She went on to say that she tries not to let mean comments get to her but she's "overwhelmed" by the negativity on social media.

She continued: "I try so hard to put on this persona, this brave face, that you're strong, that you're hard, and that all the things people say about you don't affect you but they totally do.

"I struggle every day and I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle with all the negativity on social media."

Her fellow panellist Colleen Nolan then revealed she quit social media two years ago and it was the best thing she ever did.

Speaking about mean comments she received over unflattering bikini pictures, Vicky said it was horrible to be criticised over your body.

She said: "People tearing strips off ya because of the way you look is never nice, especially not for a woman, but I get everything from people saying I don't deserve to be where I am because of the past I've had.

"I don't want to be a role model for young girls and tell them to allow people to affect you how you feel about yourself, I want to be strong and I want to be positive but it's demoralising and it is constant.

"I want to say it's alright to be normal, it's alright to not be perfect, when I say these things I believe it, it's just takes a bit longer to catch up on the inside.

"You can tell yourself the positive things but believing it is a whole different matter."

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm.
