Eddie Redmayne caught stuck on the tube in London in rush hour traffic
The Oscar winner and his wife Hannah shunned a private car for the Circle Line
OSCAR winner Eddie Redmayne is used to travelling in style but the famous actor eschewed a private car in favour of the Tube yesterday evening.
Eddie and his wife Hannah Bagshawe were snapped travelling on the Circle Line during rush hour on Tuesday.
The Magic Beasts and Where to Find Them star was dressed down and blended in with other passengers in a maroon jumper, skinny black jeans and some Asics trainers.
An onlooker told : "No-one could quite believe it was him so no-one bothered him at all.
"Everyone was just getting on with their commute as normal. They just blended in like regular commuters.”
A source close to Redmayne said: “He has lived in the city for years and is a proud Londoner. He has always taken the Tube and won’t let Oscars or any of his success get in the way of that.”
Speaking last year, Eddie who plays News Scamander in the upcoming flick, said he gets "stopped occasionally, but I still go on the Tube".
Eddie isn't the only star to take public transport rather than battle London traffic as Amanda Holden, Sarah Harding and Niall Horan have all been snapped on the Tube.
Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda had to jump on the Tube last year in order to make it to the National Television Awards on time after being stuck in traffic for hours.
