Kristina Rihanoff and Ben Cohen have welcomed their first child together
The couple are proud parents of a 'beautiful baby girl'
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Kristina Rihanoff and her partner Ben Cohen have welcomed their first child.
The couple confirmed that the dancer gave birth to a 'beautiful baby girl' in an official statement.
The happy duo told : "Ben and Kristina are delighted to confirm they are the parents of a beautiful baby girl.
"They would like to thank friends and family for all their kind wishes at this happy time."
Kristina, 38, announced the pregnancy earlier this year during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
Kristina and Ben met in 2013 when they were paired together on the BBC TV talent contest and they went public with their romance in July last year.
They are believed to have got together following the breakdown of Ben's marriage to wife Abby.
Kristina also made the decision to quit BBC's Strictly, but insisted she left on good terms with everybody.
At the time she said: "It is the most exciting thing I've ever done. We are a tight bunch. It's not the glamour or the costumes I will miss, but those guys.
"I think I am on a new path. Learning about myself, how to relax and how to enjoy a more simple and balanced life. I can't say I'm not nervous. But I'm very excited about the future."
Speaking to Hello magazine about her journey into motherhood: "It was a surprise but obviously I am delighted. My mother was with me over Christmas and when we found out she put her arms around me and she cried with joy.
"It is her lifelong dream for me to have a child and it was lovely to see her so happy."
