Sheridan Smith spotted wearing special pendant dedicated to her cancer stricken dad as she puts on a brave face after West End return

SHERIDAN Smith kept her father Colin close to her heart as she wore a pendant with the words "My dad my hero" inscribed across it.

The pretty blonde has been on an emotional rollercoaster after revealing her father was suffering from cancer back in March.

But the Funny Girl star looked happy and healthy as she greeted fans waiting at the Savoy Theatre stage door.

Sheridan, 35, returned to the popular West End show last week after taking two months off to recover from "stress and exhaustion."

The Sun revealed growing concerns for the star in May when a performance of the show was cut short with audience members claiming she was drunk.
