THEY won the nation’s heart when they stormed to victory on the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1981- with their now infamous skirt rip.

And it seems the band formerly known as Bucks Fizz still have just as much of a fan base 35 years on as they did back then.

Cheryl interjected, saying: “We wouldn’t do it anyway, we are too old.”

And new member  Bobby, who has been with the group for the year, joked: “Do it again but this time in Zimmer frames!”

Cheryl went on to reveal that the group – who are now called Fizz thanks to copyright issues – are not just touring with their Make Believe Tour but are bringing out an album this autumn.

And the 62-year-old admitted that she would love to take part on this year’s Strictly but is yet to be asked.

“I would love to see me in that, It was the first I heard about before it went in the paper,” she said.

“Strictly would be great. Big Brother no.”
