Who is MJ, the Kardashians' grandma?
Mary Jo "MJ" Shannon (née Campbell) is Kris Jenner's mother and a grandmother to Kris' six children, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Rob, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
MJ and her late ex-husband Robert True Houghton had two daughters, Kris, and Kris' late sister, Karen Houghton, who died suddenly on March 18, 2024.
Following Karen's death, Kris took to Instagram to share . "My heart aches for my mom MJ and my niece Natalie and I pray that God guides us all through this difficult time," the E! alum penned.
MJ was formerly an etiquette school teacher, model, and entrepreneur. She opened up a children's boutique called Shannon & Company in 1980.
How old is she?
MJ was born on July 26, 1934, in Arkansas making her 89 years old.
The identity of her first husband, whom she married at 18 years old, is unknown. She later married her second husband, Robert, but the pair divorced after seven years.
Following that relationship, MJ married her third husband, Harry Shannon. They were together for 40 years before Harry died in a car crash in 2003.
Does MJ have health issues?
The Arkansas native is a two-time cancer survivor, beating both breast cancer and colon cancer.

In a sweet via Instagram, Kris called her mother "a pillar of strength," writing, "I can’t believe how quickly time passes in a flash but I cherish every single precious memory we have made."
MJ will be celebrating her 90th birthday in July 2024, and appears healthier than ever.
