Zoe Ball gives fans a rare glimpse inside £1.5m Sussex home as she reveals bedroom and living room makeover
POPULAR presenter Zoe Ball has given fans an unprecedented look into her Sussex mansion after a stunning makeover.
The radio presenter, 49, and boyfriend Michael Reed moved to their new pad in Lewes, Sussex late last year.
Since the big move, Zoe has been hard at work getting their £1.5m abode into shape.
Built by Russian aristocrat, Baron Vladimir de Wolff in the 1920s, the home boasts a swimming pool, tennis court and acres of land to enjoy.
Now, Zoe shared the newly updated bedroom and living room with her Instagram followers in a rare glimpse into her stunning home.
Zoe captioned the post: “Thrilled to have worked with the design wonders at @wmorrisandco on our living room and bedroom project. Been in fabric and wallpaper heaven from start to finish.”
The country-inspired bedroom is decorated with a dusty pink floral wallpaper featuring a repeat design of Mallow’s hibiscus (mallow) flowers and is the same wallpaper in some rooms at Sussex’s Standen House.
It perfectly compliments the contemporary floral curtains which the presenter has matched with the bolsters on chic bed.
The grey bedhead is paired with white sheets and sits in between white bedside tables with gold lamps atop them.
Zoe has continued the subtle gold theme in the lampshades which are dome shaped, art deco numbers.
Her living room is a cosy hub filled with more art deco inspired artwork, dark blue walls and matching curtains inspired by in part by J. H. Dearles The Brook Tapestry and the friezes that sit beneath the Holy Grail Tapestries.
A matching print but with a red base decorates a corner lamp near the packed bookshelf.
Her marble fireplace takes centre stage in the living room as does the ornate gold mirror above it.
Zoe’s fans were stunned with the unveiling of the two room and told her they were “fabulous”.
“Ooh that’s lovely,” wrote one Instagram user.
Another added: “It’s all looking fabulous.”
And a third said: “Looks gorgeous.”
Zoe’s big move came as the presenter bagged herself a £1million pay rise last year.
Despite losing a million listeners on her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show, the mum-of-three now has a new salary of £1.36m.
It emerged as the BBC revealed it’s top earners for this year – and not everyone was as lucky as Zoe with the likes of Gary Lineker getting paid £405,000 less than the previous year.
Zoe’s pay has soared from £370,000 last year to £1.36million this year.
The star took over the morning slot from Chris Evans last year and bosses think that despite losing listeners, she’s done a good job.
BBC director-general Tim Davie defended Zoe’s pay after she lost millions of listeners in the first year in her new role, saying it was a “punchy” market.
He said: “Zoe is absolutely a broadcaster at the top of her game. She’s delivering over eight million listeners.”
And it seems that things are also going well with her private life too after moving house with her boyfriend of three years, Michael.
The couple made their first official red carpet appearance in December 2018 and since then their relationship has been going from strength to strength.
Zoe has two children son Woody, 17, and daughter Nelly, eight with ex-husband, Norman Cook.
