PIERS Morgan reignited his feud with Dan Walker by joking he’s taken his old job on Football Focus.
Earlier today, Dan announced he would be stepping down as host of the Saturday lunchtime sports programme after 12 years.
Never one to miss the chance to verbally spar with Dan, 44, Piers took to Twitter to comment on his announcement video and joke he would be his replacement.
The two men often trade barbs on social media, usually about the ratings war between BBC Breakfast - which Dan presents - and Good Morning Britain, which Piers hosted until he quit last month.
In his latest jibe, Piers, 56, wrote alongside Dan's video about leaving Football Focus: "I start Saturday."
His comment comes after Ladbrokes gave him odds of 500/1 to replace Dan.
However, Jermaine Jenas is the current favourite at 2/1, closely followed by Alex Scott at 3/1.
Dan's final show will air on May 22 - the final weekend of the Premier League season.
He said in his video: "This is going to be my last season presenting Football Focus.
"It has been an amazing 12 years and I can honestly say I have loved every single second of it.

"I am so proud of the job we’ve done, the changes we’ve made and issues we’ve looked at a time when the football landscape has changed immeasurably.
"But, having said all that, after 12 years it's time for someone else to take the reins.
"I’d like to say thank you to the amazing team at Focus who put so much into the show each week and thank you to the audience for tuning in every Saturday."
