After Kylie’s death, new Corrie boss plans ‘huge explosion’ to bring more death and destruction to Weatherfield
Kate Oates plans to kill off at least one character in a budget-blowing scene
CORONATION Street fans had better start crossing their fingers for their favourite characters.
Just days after bosses killed off cobbles favourite Kylie Platt, played by PAULA LANE, there is more death and destruction heading to Weatherfield.
I can reveal that plans are being put in place to kill off at least one more character in a massive stunt currently being drawn up for later this year.
The scenes being drawn up will involve a “huge explosion” and a roaring fire that will have the cast scrambling for their lives.
It also the first major incident being put together by new Corrie boss KATE OATES, who is well-known for her love for budget-blowing stunts.
And to assist her with the fireball she is drafting in director TONY PRESCOTT - the brains behind all of Corrie and Emmerdale’s live episode specials.

“Characters are going to be crawling through flames to escape, and there’s talk of killing at least one character.
“The plans being put together are huge and Kate bringing in Tony shows that it’s going to be far from a straightforward one.
“Tony is considered one of the big guns of directing because he’s great with complicated and intense storylines.
“Kate also loves a big stunt.

“It’s going to be carnage.”
Characters Toyah Battersby, Brian Packman and Daniel Osbourne will all return between now and autumn 2017 when the changes come into effect.
Producers will need to start up the auditions now if they keep killing off the cast at this rate.
