GMB’s Piers Morgan in stitches over Aussie twins who speak in unison and live the same life
Fans took to Twitter to share his hilarity though branded their antics 'fake'
QUIRKY Aussie twins who speak in the same tone at the same time were compared to characters from STAR TREK by a tickled Piers Morgan who couldn't hide his hilarity on Good Morning Britain.
The bubbly host branded identical sisters Bridgette and Paula Powers as akin to other-worldly beings as they revealed they had talked in sync for 40 years and even considered themselves as they same person.
The curly-haired duo have never spent a day apart and after nattering in robotic fashion to Piers and co-host Susannah Reid, he confessed: "This is one of the greatest interviews I have ever conducted in my life!"
He then added it was one of the "funniest interviews" of his journalistic career to date.
The pair burst onto screens via a live TV link to Brisbane sporting identical outfits of blue denim jackets and their long locks flowing over their shoulders.
With matching fringes and expressions, both the presenters and telly fans were glued to the screen as they admitted they were inseparable - and because of this, there was no room for men in their lives.
They shunned suggestions talking symbiotically was a ploy.
Talking in union, they said: "It happens automatically - we don't know how it happens
"Some people say ' do you rehearse a conversation' but how can you rehearse a conversation?
"It's stupid."
"We never get sick of one another or anything. We are best mates, best friends and we love one another."
After being quizzed by a stunned Susannah about what they thought of each other, the pair refused to reveal, and added: "We'd be talking about ourselves - so we can't answer that question."
The nature-lovers, who funnel their efforts into wildlife projects, said: "We know we annoy a lot of people out there but it's water off a ducks back for us.
"We never get sick of one another."
