‘I miss Alison King’: Kym Marsh reveals she’s ‘adjusting’ to life at Coronation Street without her BFF

THEY are the best of friends on and off-screen but Kym Marsh has admitted she is missing her Coronation Street Alison King on set.
Kym stars as Michelle Connor in the ITV soap and until recently alongside Alison, who played her sister-in-law Carla.
King, 43, left the soap in May after portraying the character for ten years, and although they see each other a lot away from work, Kym admits she is struggling without her on set.
Speaking to New magazine, the 40-year-old said: “I speak to her regularly and I miss her.
“I shared a dressing room with her. I’ve now moved into a room with Faye Brooks. She’s a lovely little girl.
“On and off-screen Alison and I have a close relationship, so it’s very strange and I’m still adjusting.”
But Kym has good pals who are still on the soap, including Antony Cotton, but Kym said she’s more off a homebody than a party girl these days – especially as Antony, who plays Sean Tully, tends to lead her astray!
She added: “He’s terrible. We always end up out in Manchester at a ridiculous time in the morning, watching the sun come up. I haven’t done that in a while.

“I haven’t really been out much of late. I can’t party any more. I can’t put up with the hangovers.”
Kym has a happy home life since moving in with her personal trainer boyfriend Matt Baker, 27, who she’s been with for 14 months.
They share a home with her two grown-up children, son David, 21, daughter Emilie, 18, and daughter Polly, five, from her relationship with Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas.
And her eldest daughter looks to be following in her Kym’s footsteps when she releases her first single next month.
Kym, who shot to fame in the pop group Hear’Say, said she would love to duet with her, but it’s up to Emilie.
She said: “I just want this to be about her. I’ve been there and done that, so I’m very proud to see her fulfilling her dreams.”
