Off-Grid mum claims toddler who weed on This Morning merely ‘had a leak’
Adele Allen hits back after daughter horrifies nation
THE mum whose toddler daughter weed live on This Morning was indignant this afternoon, fuming "she WAS wearing a nappy".
Adele Allen, 32, appeared on the ITV daytime show with her husband Matt, 33, and their two children.
But while they were invited on to the show to discuss their alternative "Off-Grid Parenting" lifestyle, Ostara, 1, stole the show when she urinated on the floor - live on air.
Adele, whose decision to breastfeed her illiterate 5-year-old Ulysses has already shocked some parents, today fumed online that her youngest had merely been the victim of a leaking nappy.
Writing on her blog's Facebook page, she said: "Well done to Ulysses and poorly Ostara for putting up with the media chaos today,,,,and Ostara did have a nappy on today but shock horror sometimes they leak!! #herecomethetrolls."
The Allen family's appearance on the programme horrified viewers - and not only as their "feral" children ran amok as presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford tried to quiz them about their unusual lifestyle.
People watching at home were less than impressed with Adele's declaration that she had refused to vaccinate her children, and that she had let Ulysses "sweat out" both scarlet fever and chicken pox.
She also bragged about giving birth to both of her children at home in a paddling pool, feeling "confident in the abilities of [her] own body."
But it was Ostara taking a sneaky wee on the studio's deep pile rug that really left people gagging.
The child took a break from clambering over the studio to totter a few metres from her parents to relieve herself in the view of the cameras.
As she began to wee, her older brother started shouting and pointing at her as their dad looked on dumbly.
He was later seen in the corner of the camera - but it is not sure if he went to clean up the puddle or fetch the unruly tot.
Disgustingly, the child was soon climbing over the sofa and her parents again - with no one thinking of the hygiene implications.
In a previous interview this week, the Allens revealed that their children don't go to school but rather play with insects and eat leaves they pick up in the park.
Their desire to raise a "free range" family means that they share a one bed flat in Brighton, with all of them sleeping in the same room.
Viewers were quick to call them out for being irresponsible.
One tweeted: "Surely the kids aren't even safe with parents like that @itvthismorning #offgridparenting."
Earlier today, The Sun online revealed the Allens are begging strangers to cough up £100,000 so they can move to Costa Rica and live "self-sustainably".
