Hughie and Jayne have meltdowns on Big Brother as latest task sees them explode with rage
Volatile housemates were tasked with a secret mission to fool the other housemates
HUGHIE Maughan and Jayne Connery are both set to explode on tonight's episode of Big Brother... but all was not as it seemed.
The volatile housemates have become known for their fits of rage, and Big Brother tasks them to have meltdowns in front of the group without the others being aware it's all a set up.
Secret investigator Jayne is the first to let her inner demons out as she launches into a tirade in front of the other housemates about the cleaning - something she has frequently been bothered about before.
She yells: "I've had enough! I'm sick of cleaning!" before ranting that she feels taken for granted for her work.
While most of her housemates look on bemused, Jason Burrill and Evelyn Ellis try to comfort her as she takes to the bedroom.
Hughie is then quick to follow suit and uses Jayne's meltdown to start his own - and trashes the bathroom as he yells at Jayne about her going on about the cleaning.
He then takes things a step further by grabbing a bottle of soda and pouring it across the kitchen surfaces, to the horror of the other housemates.
The pair then later come clean about their secret mission and the whole house is rewarded for their efforts with ice cream.
Journalist Andy admits that he was fooled by the pairs antics in the Diary Room, though added: "I wish Hughie hadn't thrown my toothbrush on the floor!"
During their stay in the Big Brother house, both Jayne and Hughie have blown their tops on more than one occasion, and Andy believes this is why no one noticed they were part of a task.
One famous argument between Jayne and Natalie saw Jayne threaten to 'annihilate' her as the pair got even more heated.
On tonight's show, Emma Willis will be hosting the last eviction from the Big Brother house.
Laura Carter, Jason Burrill, Jackson Blyton and Andy West are all up for the public vote.
