Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer reveals ‘devastation’ at having to undergo emergency caesarean

NEW mum Dani Harmer has spoken about her 'devastation' at having to undergo an emergency cesarean.

The former Tracey Beaker star gave birth to Avarie-Belle Betsy Rachel in June, her first child with boyfriend Simon Brough.

She told magazine: "I was devastated. I cried a lot.

"My birth plan was literally, 'birthing pool, whale music, no drugs, let's just try and be really hippy about it and do some breathing'.

"Once she'd come out, I started to regain feeling so I could feel literally everything they were doing."

The decision for the cesarean was taken after an exhausted Dani was in labour for three days.

Daughter Avarie-Belle was born weighing six pounds and nine ounces.

Dani, 27, who played the role of CBBC's Tracey Beaker for ten years, gushed: "I just feel the most happy I've ever felt in my entire life. We're in a complete little love bubble."

Dani's Strictly Come Dancing pals have been among celebrities to offer the star their best wishes.

Pregnant Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh said she was "overjoyed" to hear of Avarie-Belle's safe arrival, with Dani's dance partner Vincent Simone eager to meet her.

"Hopefully Avarie will have a bit of rhythm then we can send her off with Uncle Vincent and he can teach her a bit of ballroom," joked Dani.
